One of my favorite spots in Bangor! Great service, food and prices. It's a small restauarant but we eat early around 5pm and never have to wait. The salads are my favorite and made with love but every menu item is a win. Great mocktail menu as well which I love to see. I highly recommend Lazy Hound to anyone visiting Bangor.

First time we've eaten here and so glad we tried it out. Everyone in our party loved their dinners, which must be a common experience as the place (which is relatively small) filled up quickly. I would suggest getting there at their 4:30 opening if you don't want a high top table.

Just ate here, visiting from NC. Incredible tasting food, huge amount for the price, great interior, friendly staff, and so many dog pictures! We had to leave our pup at home so we missed him. Come enjoy the food!

We loved our casual dinner at Lazy Hound. Informal but cozy dining room with a nice menu of dining options. We LOVED the egg rolls of the day--ours were sausage (tasted like pizza). We also enjoyed an order of Naan with mashed potatoes on top and I liked my burger with gouda, bacon bits and horseradish. Drinks were good, service friendly...just a real nice spot for real good food.

The Lazy Hound is my go to option in downtown Bangor for fresh food and good drinks at a great price. The food is consistently high quality and made with fresh, unprocessed ingredients. I have tried a bit of everything on the menu and never been let down.
This was a find for us. Not in the top ten list for Bangor, but it should be Got there right at opening on a Saturday and snagged the last seat in this sweet little place The two folks providing service were pleasant, friendly enough, and very efficient despite having 40 or so people sitting down all at once. We asked for recommendations and decided to go with one that did not disappoint. The Hungry Hound (I think that was the name), was a great burger accompanied by nicely done fries. The rest of what we ordered was tasty too, and all reasonably priced. All the burgers were doubles which might make for a good splitter if you can agree on a choice. They also have lots of naan offerings, many veggie so it looks to be a good choice for carnivores and those who don't eat meat If you’re in Bangor, get to this place for a local bite you’ll remember. We were passing through on our way to UMaine and are already thinking of a northern Maine field trip this summer with The Lazy Hound part of the itinerary
If the prices on the menu seem a little high, you're getting what you pay for. The menu is largely chefy versions of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and salads. By chefy I meant to say creative and made with care.
We ordered the take-out. When we opened the containers we were wowed. Everything looked fresh and delicious. I find that taken-out from most places looks as if it has been stomped on.
A very good meal for casual dinning! Fun drinks, very good service and large portions. One of our regular places to have dinner in downtown Bangor. Just time your visit to shorten wait times. Love the Naan bread sticks(pizzas)!

We came in last night and the food was great. The Caesar salad was big enough to share with three people. The hamburger was also large. Reasonable prices for the amount of food you get.
