Las Palapas Mexican Restaurant

I've never had bland Mexican before. I didn't know it was possible to make bland Mexican food.

Unfortunately, this trip was very disappointing. There was hardly anyone at the restaurant around 4pm but the wait staff took forever to return for anything. The food we received tasted chemical and fake. It was also very bland with little seasoning. We have had way better Mexican elsewhere—this tasted Americanized and like it had just been thawed from a plastic package. They didn’t bring us chips until we had been sitting for 40 mins and I had to ask for them. Overall, one of the worst eat-out experiences (worse than fast food). Very disappointing.

Lovely place. Super fast service and plating. Service was very kind. Not fancy but great prices. Think of it like a Mexican diner with lots of margarita specials. Looking forward to returning.

The food here is authentic and tastes great! Although the food is a little bit pricey its worth it if you want true Mexican flavor! There is a huge menu selection, and there is truly something for everyone here (even the pickiest eaters!) I would highly recommend giving them a try!

The MOST SOGGY BURRITO you'll ever eat from the Most UNAUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant ever. Your plate turns like mush the moment you try to eat it. You cannot even pick up the Burritos because they are SOGGY
They dont make their own Tortillas too so but it doesnt matter because they dont know how to make Burritos. Burritos are a Hand Food not a utensil fork and knife meal.
And who puts Worchester sauce in anything Mexican? They do in their hot sauce. Yuck!

The food was great. Had the Special Fajitas and the Fiesta fries. Very very good compared to the many other Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. Too bad I live so far away.
Service was great and the staff member was polite. Would definitely come back if ever in the area again.

I was excited to find this restaurant which is part of a chain that is my favorite place to eat, but I was fairly disappointed in my enchilada suprema. Perhaps it was an off night, but there wasn’t much cheese in the cheese enchiladas and the beans weren’t very flavorful.

The service was very friendly, but we were only checked on once and I wasn’t able to get a second drink. I probably didn’t need another Monday margarita anyhow 😅

I probably won’t be going back to this Bangor location, but my daughter really enjoyed her steak so perhaps my local restaurant is just exceptional and this spot is the normal fare.

We had a great time the atmosphere was really fun. Our server Caitlyn was a delight and attentive! The food was delicious and filling! We will be eating there again!!!
