First time trying Taste of India. Tried the Colonel Tso Cauliflower. I absolutely loved it. So flavorful and delicious. Can't wait to try more of their menu.

I never ate biryani with this kind of taste. Please don't say it is Indian biryani it is mixed veg rice with chicken pieces in it. I got disappointed with the food taste after coming here by travelling 50 miles.

I always order the shrimp vindaloo, and it always comes out amazing. The apps are amazing, try the lamb as well. They are very accommodating. You’d love this place!

My partner and I moved to Bangor from New York City and we LOVE Taste of India. We ordered Indian food all the time in NYC and believe this is even better than that. (Turns out the owners moved here from NYC originally too!) The service is friendly and the food is always outstanding. We love the Makhni Chicken, the Chicken Tikka Masala, and both the regular and garlic Naan. One more thing: I used to always judge the quality of the Indian food in NYC by how often the chicken would have even a little bit of gristle or fat or bone. The more I could trust a place to not have that the better. Every place would have little bits now and then BUT at Taste of India here in Bangor I never worry because I've never had any grit or gristle in ANY of the chicken. We order from here a few times a month and will keep coming back and back and back!

So here is the thing, I went there and I honestly didn’t have much expectations given the small town Bangor and only one Indian restaurant.I am an Indian from delhi and so far lived in cities like New york and Philly where we have so many Indian restaurants. Anyways, I talked to owner here who herself was an Indian from punjab and I specially asked her to make the real authentic dishes for me and so far I have tried chana masala and paneer saag and literally it blew me away, very authentic Indian food and I believe one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever tried in US.

The food was tastless and the prices charged for it was not worth the price.

It might be a tad unassuming but what I discovered was a real gem of a place filled with delicious food and warm-good natured people. Like a dogged-eared classic book, the Taste of India offers you tasty adventures and authenticity.Dietary restrictions: I'm vegan and they were very accommodating.

Traveling through Bangor - I felt like eating Indian food. The cumulative reviews here were not so high - so I didn’t expect much. I was wrong to think that. Absolutely FANTASTIC. I ordered Sag Paneer and Chana Masala - I asked them to cook it the way people from India eat their food- spiced on the hotter side. I got exactly that. Not some Americanized version of these dishes but - the real thing. I can’t guarantee the same experience if you don’t request your food taste authentically seasoned but if you do you will be rewarded. The basmati rice that came with my order was great too.
