I got the chicken and waffles and a side of pork belly which were both amazing. The combination of things they use to make each unique flavor was truly a treat! Good vibes were in the air when I walked in to pick up my food. Thank you a ton I wish Bangor wasn’t so far from Portland or this would be a regular place I would be dining at! ?

Renovated storefront in old business center of Bangor. Small resto w bar seating. On hill, large glass windows. Drinks seem to be what they do well here. Was busy by 6 on a Tuesday. Food very heavy, not our thing. Not recommend those with trouble walking, wheels, kids or vegetarian diets.

Excellent on all levels, adding an hour plus to our 5 hour drive to Maine it’s well worth it!

First time, highly recommend this exquisite establishment. Service on point, comedic relief appreciated, by the art on walls and uniforms. Very welcoming and friendly. Food well now this is a must, tuna poke, and pu pu plater is large serves 4 to 6 is no joke, however it's hard to stop enjoying the edible art. Great company, beautiful buildings and love the entryway, sets the tone for a unique and special evening.
One of my top 5 favorite places.

Wheelchair accessibility: Chair to ride down the stairs.

I've been several time - The food and the service was out of this world! You feel like you're part of their family as soon as you walk in! Go, you won't be disappointed!

Just wow, easily one of the best restaurants in Bangor if not Maine in general. I struggle with the food in Maine because I’m from the west coast but wow the butcher the baker was simple delicious. Everything we ordered was just incredibly delicious. We had the beef carpaccio, and the tuna for starters then we finished with the curry and the house pasta, me and my friend finished every last bite, also it’s worth mentioning that the food could have been much more expensive but was very reasonable will definitely be coming back.

The service here is super friendly and helpful. It's kinda like being with family in a good way. Food was good, with only some small qualms at the halibut, which was a bit on the drier side. The gnocchi was amazing and so was the White Linen cocktail.

This was by far the best meal I’ve had in Maine. Everything we ordered for the table was absolutely incredible. So many menu options, but you can’t go wrong with anything you choose. We got the tuna poke, foie gras, and bone marrow, as well as the drunken noodles and schnitzel. 10/10

Top tier Gastropub style Faire in downtown Bangor. So good we went two nights in a row to try various dishes.

Fine-ish dining at its best. Inventive dishes that are worth the price. The farm to table concept is the cherry on top. There isn't a single thing here that I didn't love. I enjoyed it so much, I came again the next day!

The marrow is killer. A must get. The drinks were great and had a lot of depth.

This place was amazing! I don't love high end dining experiences where everything is great, but you feel like the chef's serf. Butcher and Baker was the most delicious food I've eaten in years and the atmosphere felt so relaxed and fun! I would gladly walk slowly through a hot hell if it meant another taste of the bone marrow and soy omelette.
