I ordered a Italian sub and put in notes to the kitchen to put mayo and oil on it which they didn't do obviously the sandwich was pre made and not freshly made all they did is take it out of there display cooler. That was very disappointing never again !!
Unwelcoming environment
Can't beat the 10'' yall are amazing
Don’t know why this place has bad reviews on Google. Stumbled upon this store while driving to Southwest Harbor lighthouse in cold winter. Washroom was impressively neat and clean. Store was well maintained. Prices were okay compared to everything else on the quiet side and staff was super friendly.
I practically lived out of the store last winter. These people are the most down-to-earth. Awesome people you will ever encounter in the state of Maine. The pizza cook should be given a Nobel Prize for his creations. Everybody in this store makes you feel like they're happy to see You come in And they're food, oh good Lord what? I would not do for some of those stuffed tater tots right now If I end up somehow getting To heaven I know this is going to be right down the way from My cloud
We've been to bass harbor 3 different years and always go to Hansens for snacks and little odds and ends.People are very friendly, pizza is delicious, the guy there last time even made us a custom pizza and it was perfect! The reviews on here are nothing like what we experience. I feel like people can go somewhere many times and have good experiences but then leave the bad review one time they're not happy. And good on them for their new ice cream shop and food stand!
$16 for a gallon of milk and Pam spray. $9.99 for a gallon of milk! You expect to pay more at a mini mart, but this is price gouging. Everything here is twice what it should be. 20 minutes up the road and milk is less than $5. Hawaii does not charge this much! And come to find out, the milk was expired!
My review is simple: If you are thinking of getting one of their pizzas, I suggest you do one of the following: 1). Don’t; 2). Drive as far as Montana if need be, but don’t get a pizza here; 3). Go on a hunger strike. You will be doing yourself a tremendous favor if you do any of these things. This pizza is basically frozen pizza sent through a warming machine, and it’s not even as good as a DiGiorno frozen pizza. It is doughy, generic, and covered in toppings which will have you questioning whether there is a god.
One of the best markets we’ve been to in all our years of road trips. Great food and staff.
Wonderful experience of cold ice cream, polydactyl felines, and live music on a hot day!

Sold us wet spruce wood for $6 dollars for a campfire. Completely fireproof. Also, ice cream is 3x the price it should be (9.50 for small milkshake).
Ordered a pain cheese pizza and had it delivered (via third party) as I am positive for covid and currently in quarantine. Received the wrong pizza and called the store and explained the mix up. The young lady who answered the phone immediately admitted the mistake, knew what I was talking about(as she admitted she messed up), and said I could come and pick mine up. Explained the situation and told her I could not due to covid. Asked if I could just get one comped since there was an honest mix up. She said she would need to talk to her manager and came back after a short wait and said they were not willing to that as it's not their policy. Asked if I could just get a refund then, and she told me "all I can do is take down your name and number and someone MAY call you back."It really sucks to get that answer especially after I stopped there daily for almost a year now. Just bad customer service over $20. Luckily Gott is right up the road.
I walked in to purchase some essentials and got mocked by the cashier for having on a mask. I didn’t realize that my choices would cause so much distress to others. Maybe the cashier’s mother hadn’t taught her the valuable lesson—if you don’t have anything nice to say, say nothing.
Solid food, good people, and they’re open year round, caring for the community. Even open at 3am catering to the local lobster fishermen! Hansen’s is the real deal, and I’m grateful to have it nearby.
We ordered 3 lobster rolls and they were the best we’ve had on the island. Service was great, short wait.
