Seaside Dairy Bar & Lobster Pound

Stopped in for an ice cream. The ice cream was good. Nothing else was. Girl at the window was grumpy... don't know why. Guy handing it out got orders wrong and laughed about it. All this after waiting over 30 minutes... for ice cream. The couple behind us ordered food and got served 10 minutes before we received our ICE CREAM. Only 8 people in line and all waited 20-35 minutes... for ICE CREAM. We listened to everyone complain as to how ridiculous the service was. I recommend owners sell the business to someone who actually gives a damn about service.

Was not expecting this to be some of the best food we had in Acadia, but wow. The lobster mac n’ cheese was out of this world, packed with meat and real cheesy flavor. Po Boy was delicious as well. Soft serve machine was off around 8pm so come earlier for ice cream. Wait was a little long but totally worth it.

Super friendly take out picnic table place- I ordered haddock cooked 'lightly' and it was the best I've ever had! Everything was fresh and delicious! And the friendliest faces to greet me! Met some wayfaring strangers and we all agreed this is a hidden gem near southwest harbor!

Workers are slow, unprofessional and rude. Instead of arguing with your customers, show some respect and listen to what they ordered. Don't bother and keep driving down the road.

The ice cream shake was amazing!

We placed our order with the cashier after having to repeat ourselves several times because she cannot hear with the loud machine (blender?) going behind her. This place sells soft ice cream blended with a flavored syrup, so as part of our order we got one in a cone and one in a cup. A second lady brings out the cone with no syrup added so we ask if she can redo it with the syrup. She tells us we didn't order a syrup and shows us the receipt lists just plain ice cream. There is no additional cost for the syrup and we explain the receipt is wrong and after having an attitude she gets it for us.

We then stand there waiting 15 minutes for milkshakes as people after us are getting their orders. We finally get them but still did not get the second ice cream with syrup in a cup. The cashier tries to hand us someone else's order and just stares at us as we explain that isn't ours. Someone I assume was a manager comes over so we explain what we our missing and the second lady comes over and tells him we didn't want it when she brought it to us. So then I have to explain that the receipt is wrong, she brought the wrong cone, and that we still haven't received the cup we ordered. Instead of being polite and going with the old "customer is always right" motto, they both take two steps over, talking loud enough for us to hear. She starts talking about how amazed she is by how rude people can be and he replies about how you can not argue with those types of people.

I'm not exactly sure how I was rude or arguing when I was just trying to get what I ordered.
After finally getting it, I saw the manager stick his finger in someone else's cup as if to test the ice cream consistency and the lady walked by with a baby and someone else's order.

Oh, and the ice cream was not even that good.
Please don't waste your time or money.

Food was really good and service was right there with it. Noticed a large amount of adult workers milling around in the back as they left a 15 year old girl to run the counter. And she stayed way too busy and overworked as customers backed up in line waiting to give their orders. Onion rings were primo.

The soft serve ice cream was delicious after a long hike and the employees were friendly. Laid back food stand with outside seating only. Perfect on a nice day!
