Seafood platter not worth the price!! Coleslaw had to much vinegar n soupy. Not able to swap out calamari for a different seafood even for an upgrade in price . Got 3 fried clams , tons of calamari, 3 scallops n 3 bite size pieces of haddock. Too much crumbs n not enough Seafood. No roll n never came back to see if we needed anything no refills on drinks.
The fried fish fillet was over cooked…horrible. No choice of a baked potato, strange. The mashed potato was cold and boring. The potato salad was supposedly made in house. Dont think so. No side salad, no complementary rolls. Completely overpriced. And restroom had only ice cold water to wash your hands. However, the waitress was pleasant. Wouldn’t recommend.
Started with an order of Duck wontons with a blueberry dipping sauce. That was wonderful. We ordered lobster roll and clam chowder which was served with chips and coke slaw. It was all very very bland. I dipped the chips in the leftover blueberry sauce to give them flavor. Even the Cole slaw was bland. How do you do that?? Also ordered a hamburger medium and it came out on the medium rare side.

I would come back here again! Great seasonal menu, delicious food, and reasonable prices and good portions. The kids menu and water views were a bonus. My family had dinner on our way home from visiting booth bay. P.S. the kids mac n cheese could use more Mac and less cheese.

STAY AWAY! 10/14/24 walked in for lunch and ordered a lite beer from the bartender. older employee buts in "we only have MAINE beer" The bartender proceeded to read off the bottle list and I ordered. she gave me a menu and I asked about the quote "house cured corned beef". nasty older lady empolyee butts in AGIAN and tells me WE DONT HAVE THAT, WE GET IT FROM A DISTRIBUTOR". I began to inquire about the menu which specifically states "house cured" and made the terrible, horrible error of addressing this nasty woman, respectfully as "maam" she looks at me (the customer) and says "don't ever call me that!" I tried to explain that I was reading verbatim from the menu and was confused by her. she then grabs the menu and starts to read it to me and realizes her error. instead of apologizing, she DOUBLES DOWN on her nastiness to me, the customer. the bartender looks apologetic. I leave money plus a tip for the bartender and explain I will not be treated like this, and left my beer. DO NOT waste you hard earned money here with people who will treat you like dirt.
Hate leaving bad reviews, but this place was not good. My husband got the fried seafood platter, which he said was pretty bland. Fries weren't great. I got the curry, which was okay but was super spicy. Not a good spot for cocktails. The fact that they don't use bar glassware should have been a giveaway, they serve everything in a pint glass. My husband ordered a margarita without sour mix (because a good Marg is just tequila, lime, and triple sec) and it was disgusting, looked like gold tequila on ice but tasted like fake lime juice. On top of all of that, he got super bad food poisoning last night, and that was all he ate all day so it was definitely the seafood.
Not a fancy place at all. This is a nice casual location to be able to enjoy the warm September mid-afternoon on the deck close to the water. The service was excellent and food was delivered timely. We ordered the lobster roll both hot and cold — the bun wasn’t soft nor toasted so we didn’t eat the bread. Didn’t really feel like we got $34 value with that meal. The sweet potato fries and onion rings were great!

Trendy waterfront establishment serving local favorites. Over 15 years of visiting and I still swing through here occasionally.
Had an interesting concept meal. Would not recommend the lobster ramen, but typically I have never had a bad experience.

Will never be back... honestly I'd be embarrassed to have my name printed on the menu like the chef does. I don't eat at chain restaurants but would choose one over ever going back to this place. Chicken wings were cold, order got messed up, smelled gross inside, flies... this place is probably only good for a straight shot of alcohol because you can't even make great drinks to offset the horrible food..

Went for lunch with a party of 3 on the day after labor day. Nice and quiet plane on the River. We done outside on the Large patio area. Great view.
I had the fried haddock platter at $22. It was a medium portion with ff and Cole slaw. It was fresh. The fries were not quite cooked, but still ok.
We also had mussels, fried calamari, fried clams. Everyone loved their meals.
Our waitresses was awesome, quick, and attentive.

Worst food I’ve had in my life. Ordered a medium rare steak it came well done not a spot of pink. The fries were disgusting with huge chunks on parm slopped on top half melted. The fries were soggy because they were swimming in the gallon of liquid from the bland inedible spinach and mushrooms. The chef doesn’t know that you need to season food and has never cooked a steak before I guess. DO NOT order a cocktail here. They had 0 alcohol in them. Worst drinks I’ve ever had.

My wife had the lobster roll, which she said was better than the one from yesterday. The service reminded me of a glacier, slow and cold. I guess they could tell we were from Texas.

I go here when I'm in Maine visiting my family. Great little place near the heart of downtown Bath. It's the kind of place you can bring anyone to of any age, and they will find something they like. Staff has always been friendly and efficient. I really like that when I order coffee it's always fresh and delicious and they have mocktails. Sometimes, places with the word "Tavern" in their title concentrate on alcohol and forget about the non-drinkers and Designated Drivers of the world. These guys don't. Also, try the blueberry pie with ice cream and coffee for dessert.

Really good fish n chips! Kind of a tourist place. Really busy prices kind of high but close to the hotel and worth it.
