Delightful experience! Menu features fresh, seasonal selections, generous portions, and good service. Highly recommend the short ribs. Perfect spot for a local dinner in Bath!

Friendly staff and great service. The ambiance was calm and comfortable. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. Everything we ordered tasted like it had a pound of salt poured on it. The only thing you could taste in the crab cakes was the salt. Both of our dinners were overwhelmingly salty. We were afraid to order dessert because we didn’t want to risk another over-salted dish. We couldn’t even enjoy our wine because the salty food completely took over our taste buds.

We were very eager to try Linden & Front after having had a pretty decent dinner at Ram and Bull in Brunswick, their sister restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience did not match up and was definitely not worth the higher prices. My cocktail, Tod's Glowup tasted primarily of orange with no other discernible flavors - very one note and missing the nuance of a quality crafted cocktail. The calamari was very disappointing in that the oddly shaped strips were soggy and limp. They were also piled on top of a sauce which just further softened their texture. The tomato carpaccio at $16 consisted of barely three, very thin slices of tomato with a dressing and flecks of feta - for the cost this dish truly felt like a rip off. We both ordered the petite filet at $48 which was well cooked and was very tender. I chose the frites instead of the mashed potatoes, which were greasy but crisp initially. Unfortunately, the steak was laid on top of the fries which made it difficult to cut, and the demi glace that was poured over the steak, was also all over the fries which soon became soggy. We expected more from a restaurant of this caliber and cost. The atmosphere was lovely and while our waiter was attentive, we initially felt rushed to order despite the fact that there was only one other party in the dining room. Really wanted to love this place...but we won't be back.

First time visit. What a charming spot. prompt welcoming service. Nice wine list. Enjoyed a crisp biodynamic Pecorino, to start with some crisp zucchini flash fried and drizzled with honey. What a brilliant way to elevate a local , yet common, vegetable. House salad was brimming with little surprises of tiny marinated peppers, walnuts and greens. We loved the smokey cheese-y potato croquettes nestled in a tomato aioli and sweet onion jam made with raisins. The guest next to us had ordered one of their onion burgers and was literally groaning delightedly while eating it so we had to try. Yes, they are that good. Busy bar service with craft cocktails. Clearly a local favorite. There is a semi open kitchen, inside and outside dining , and delightful decor. We plan to return .

Linden + Front is one of our favorite restaurants, so much so that we happily make the drive from Saco to Bath. Our meals are always delicious. We love that the menu rotates appropriately and is always imaginative.
The salads are awesome. We are big fans of the seafood dishes like the razor clams and the various scallop dishes. Each time we order steak, the temperature is perfect. The homemade bread is wonderful and worth an order to go.
The service is always cheerful and friendly.
The restaurant itself is beautiful and interesting with a nice patio, dining room and a lively bar area.
And they’re open Mondays!

We were looking for place while on our annual trip to Maine and this restaurant was not known to us last year but looked so good. The cocktails were very good and different. We had the calamari and the house made focaccia apps. The focaccia wasn’t great. Small pieces without much flavor and very dark crust. Our party had the gnocchi, the halibut, the swordfish and the burger. Everyone was very pleased with the delicious entrees. A bit pricey for frequent visits but we told our extended family and they already went last night and enjoyed it too.

Delish crab cakes 😋
first time dining there tonight. They have a really nice looking menu with some great craft cocktails, and a reasonably priced wine list/good choices. i’m excited to come back with our dog and sit outside on the deck. Tonight The weather was misting and we were not aware that they had a deck, but they said they’re dog friendly when the weather allows outside. Some of the things that they could tweak is that we ordered cocktails and maybe not even five minutes after we ordered the cocktails our appetizers arrived and the appetizers were quite huge, which is great, I guess, we even ordered a half order of the calamari and it could’ve been a meal in and of itself. But five minutes after we were starting into our appetizers our dinner arrived so we could’ve literally been in and out of the restaurant within 30 to 45 minutes with the rapidity of the delivery of the food. so that’s why they’re getting less stars from me tonight. It just kind of ruined the whole dining experience for us. The appetizers we had were the razor clams (quite good) and as I mentioned the calamari. I’m not a huge fan of the calamari. It is very thick cut like steak fries and when we inquired about that cut because we’re usually used to crispy small rings and tubes. They said it was from the body of the calamari so I feel that a little thick and rubbery and oddly, even though they arrived so fast, I did not find the calamari that hot. However, the razor clams did come out hot, and the quantity was huge too. not necessarily bad thing, but again you could’ve made a whole meal out of that one appetizer. There was six large razor clams, and because our food came out so fast, the waiter came out and had a shove all of our appetizers to the other side of the table so we could accommodate our dinner. I had a steak with a blue cheese salad, and my husband had the swordfish. The swordfish was absolutely fantastic looking and came on a bed of buckwheat and puréed carrots. He really loved it. Again, oddly, my steak, even though it came out so fast was a little lukewarm. It was the blackened steak and I liked the spice on it but it just detracted from hall experience bc 15 minutes-20 minutes after sitting down, our entire dinner was sitting on the table so we didn’t really get to enjoy anything. So they just need to fine-tune this aspect of the dinner obviously. my husband had the margarita, which was quite nice and I had—I don’t remember what it was called, but it was the second cocktail on the menu. I think it was called Todd’s something. And it was also quite good. I also had a glass of red wine with dinner and like I said, I like their wine list and the wine was nice. Couple extra tweaks are that I had asked the waiter a couple of times for a few things. But he was quite attentive . Maybe even too attentive given how fast all of the food got set down. He did pick up my cocktail halfway through me finishing it and start to walk away with it. I asked him to bring it back. He didn’t ask me if I was done. He just picked it up so all of this is just fine-tuning. We will definitely go back and try it again for sure. very nice location.
