First-time visitors, and were very happy with it. Got a couple of large pizzas, planning on leftovers and neither disappointed. A major test of pizza is its next-day cold appeal, and these two passed completely. Good chow. We definitely will be back.

Maine is one of the best places in the world to live! But pizza….. we have lived in US pizza Mecca so maybe we are too demanding. Five plus years of living in the area and trying everything only to suffer disappointment! Dry, mushy and flavorless crust, along with blah sauce and skimpy toppings are the area norm. Half our family equation also is limited to gluten free crust and non dairy cheese which moves the likelihood of pizza success around here to near zero.
Then…a friend’s casual suggestion sent us to Bowen’s. Close to home but we had never tried, expecting simple bar pizza.
Shame on us! It’s not New Haven but it’s the best pizza we have found by far!! Mid crunch crust ( I may ask for well done next time - they have LOTS of customization options), super tasty sauce and great toppings. This discovery made our week and we will be their newest pizza regulars!!! Thanks Bowens!!

I love meatball subs so I wanted to try one from here. I ordered a takeout order of the 'meatball' sub.....only to get home and find it inedible . It was immediately thrown out. Wished I'd taken a picture to show you. It was extremely dry..the roll, the sausage balls... everything! No sauce on it at all. Who makes a meatball Sub without sauce? At $21.00 this was way overpriced and a waste of good money.☹️

My wife and I recently moved up from Southern ME to a neighboring town of Belfast. Since then we’ve been on the hunt for the best pizza around and we found that recently with Bowen’s. Endlessly foldable with cheesy goodness all backed by a nice thin crust and tasty sauce to match. I will be going back there again as soon as possible (aka probably tomorrow)!

Stumbled across this place on a long drive through Maine and it was great, so happy I stopped in. Food was great, I got the Staff Ranch Wrap with Mac and cheese for my side. Super relaxed with an arcade attached, it was the perfect dinner spot on my long drive

Came on vacation from New York, Long Island. We were nervous about getting pizza outside of New York, because we have the best pizza in the world! But we are very impressed. I got the meat lovers and my wife got the veggy lovers. Both of them are cooked perfectly and they are delicious. Great place.

Steak bomb was soooooo salty it was inedible. Very small amount of cheese as well, which may have helped offset the terrible overpowering salt. It actually hurt our mouths. Crazy awful. For a $21.00 sandwich we expected to be able to eat it! Our friends rave about the pizza and eggplant so we have to believe them but we can't prove it by that terrible sandwich!
You can't get a bad meal here! People are nice and service is fast.

Visiting all the way from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Belfast is our happy place, we come up about twice a year and this is our first experience at Bowen’s. We ordered take out and the order was packaged nicely, on time, and the cashier meticulously checked each item in front of me to make sure it was correct. I really appreciated her willingness and attention to detail, especially with how busy they were at the time. Ordering over the phone was a breeze. The veggies on the supreme pizza were fresh and the large thin slices of pepperoni were something we’d never seen on pizza before but AMAZING!! I don’t think I ever want pepperoni pizza another way now 😅 The wings were the best wings we’ve ever had and believe me…we are WING PEOPLE down South. We couldn’t get enough of the BBQ sauce! The staff were friendly, warm and inviting. We will be back!

Both times we've been, my calzone was amazing! Most of our family was also VERY pleased! The pepperoni was so good. The only reason we gave 4 stars is because their sauce tastes like a can.

Absolutely awesome! The people were so friendly the pizza was amazing and they have a 14-inch gluten-free crust! I've only ever been able to have a 10-inch pizza because of it having to be gluten free. The facility was very clean,very welcoming, was pretty darn awesome in there. They had a whole game room, a pool table, and a few tables for patrons to sit at and eat. They also had some booths. 100 percent would recommend to anyone and everyone!!
