Food is normally pretty good. I’ve had it many times and always enjoyed it. It’s priced well and the people who work there are always friendly. But be careful ordering chow mein. It’s not like everywhere else you’ve been. There are no noodles. None. It’s basically just a bean sprout soup. I wish they would have told me that before I ordered a large to share.

I love Chinese cuisine, but unfortunately the food from here is not consistent in flavor, texture, etc. And it has gotten worse. Lately the rice is dry and lacking in flavor. Sometimes the Orange/Sesame chicken has some sauce and sometimes it doesn't. And sometimes it's just dough with no chicken inside. A recent order of Shrimp with lobster sauce was like glue.
Not sure if it's due to a new cook or just skimping on things. With it being the only one in town, we usually order once a week so we kept trying.....but will be saving our money and going elsewhere.

Haven't been since I was a kid and honestly I can say its still just as good! Great customer service. Food was ready and waiting plus we got a ton of food at a reasonably cheap price. Will definitely be back soon!

We went out for dinner at China One tonight. My food tasted weird and was almost cold. It didn’t even taste good. My son barely ate his meal and asked for a Happy Meal as soon as we left. It was awful, and I am never going back.

The food was actually pretty good. Chicken fingers were good. Rice was pretty good. For being in the middle of nowhere maine it was overall pretty awesome and I will be going back as the only other chinese food place to go is like 45 minutes away from me. Their food reminds me on going to China Star as a teenager in Salem NH.

There's no or very little chicken in the general tsos. Every piece I cut into was just a dough ball with the exception of what looked to be minced chicken if any at all.

- food 😔 Don’t say you weren't warned
I'm a bit surprised by all the negative reviews. My partner and I stopped in here for dinner hungry after an adventurous day! The hostess was so nice, patient, and laid out all the options for us. Greeted us right away. We got take out, so we went back outside to wait and all the sudden she was at the truck delivering our food to us! The food itself was pretty dang good, the value was also pretty dang good. We both agreed we'd come back in the future! Thanks for putting the cherry on top of a beautiful date day! 😄

Overpriced, Rude, and Just Plain Bad
My wife and I were looking forward to a nice date night this past Saturday, but it turned into a nightmare thanks to China One in Belfast. I picked up an order expecting to pay around $45 based on their menu prices, but I was shocked when I was charged $57.82—no delivery, no tip, no itemized receipt. I didn’t even question it in the moment because I was so thrown off, but looking at the charge now, I realize I got completely ripped off. This was for the food and a small bottle of Barq’s root beer, which doesn’t come close to justifying the massive price jump.
The food was a disaster. The pork fried rice was dry with almost no pork in it. The spicy Szechuan chicken wasn’t spicy at all—it was just a sticky, syrupy mess with red pepper flakes thrown on as an afterthought. My wife hated it. The teriyaki beef and teriyaki chicken were overly sweet and bland, and the potstickers were doughy and undercooked.
On top of all that, their online menu is a joke—every time you try to check it, it sends you to Yelp or Google, making it impossible to get any useful information.
I wish I could give them zero stars—but since they force you to give at least one star, here’s my review. Between the overcharge, rude service, disappointing food, and broken online system, this place is a total waste of time and money. I won’t be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I have been a long-time fan of China One but the other day something happened..
I ordered pork Mei fun which I have had often there before.
This time however the pork was spicy which it is not supposed to be in this dish. There was also really a lot of it and it was chewy and had a funny tast. These are all bad signs in my opinion. Spiciness on meat in a dish that is not supposed to be spicy makes me think they're covering something up, and the amount of meat in the dish makes me think they're trying to get rid of it.
I look forward to my occasional trips to this restaurant, and I found this quite disheartening.
I'll give them another try, but at this moment my long-term good feelings about this place have been tarnished.
