Great coffee, cute place, rude staff. The redhead who was at the register today should really be trained on their customer service skills. She was rude from the moment my group walked in. “UM…LINE IS OVER THERE”. Then I accidentally took the wrong cappuccino and they made a huge deal over it on display for the rest of the guests to witness. I suggest they find an office job and not one with the general public.

Fairly long wait, coffee was okay. I was surprised they didn't have carmel at all, that seems like a basic necessity for a coffee shop.

Great coffee with equally good vibes :)
This place has the BEST scones. They are crisp on the outside but soft and warm on the inside. So yummy. The people serving you are also super friendly and the vibe inside is perfect. 100% recommend.

Very nice place. Daughter loved the hot chocolate. Relaxed atmosphere was nice to sit for a bit and take a break from walking around Belfast.

The best dirty chai - they make the chai in house steeped in oat milk and it wasn’t overly sweet like you typically find. Gluten free coconut cookie was incredible.

Egg Bites perfect!
I’m so glad we stopped at Downshift. We had delicious half-caff flat whites and ended up buying a bag of beans from how much we liked it. The cardamom snickerdoodle was so good too. Very welcoming atmosphere and very LGBT+ friendly - amazing vibes all around.

A chocolate cherry scone. Yummy. Fresh coffee, even around 10am. Delightful space.

we stopped through town to grab caffeine on our drive and were so pleasantly surprised with this spot! I got a chai and it was perfectly spicey, not too sweet and house made and my husband got a yummy matcha! The blueberry muffin was delish and definitely house made too! We loved. Cute lil back porch and plenty of space despite being busy. We enjoyed a walk along the water with our yummy drinks.

I was disappointed with my experience at Downshift Coffee. The staff was rude and not very helpful, and the latte I ordered was bad because the espresso tasted burnt. The bathroom also wasn’t very clean. I think the shop has potential but there are definitely some things that could be improved.
I wouldn't give this guy any of my money! He was extremely rude to my wife and does not care about our community! I'm surprised someone so ignorant and rude have a business in Belfast. If there was a zero star I sure would of given it to him. Thanks Nathaniel I'll make sure to let our community know how rude you really are.
