1hr wait for one shrimp appetizer, 20 minutes more for the sushi and order came wrong. We were starving, waitress was not nice about it and even told us if we ate that wrong sushi roll order we will be charge additional. I was shocked. We wait for the right order, ate and leave. Never again.

Friendly service, comfy, warm atmosphere and excellent bibimbap! Will definitely return when I'm in Bethel again.

We ordered takeout, but you can see from the photos the vibe and decor is welcoming. The service was excellent and friendly. On our one visit the food was mediocre unfortunately, but maybe we didn't order the "right" items. The spicy pork bulgoki (yes, that's how they spell it) was fatty and chewy, and the wasabi mashed potatoes disappointed. I was hoping the pork would be tender like the chashu in ramen. The spicy tuna rolls were okay. The highlight was the shrimp tempura, which was fresh and cooked perfectly. We would return, just not order the same things.

Sushi was horrible and definitely not fresh. Kitchen was slow . Nice atmosphere but super overpriced.

This was our first time here. We made a reservation for 5:45 for two. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. My complaints…when you order glasses of wine they should be consistent, my first glass literally had 3-4 sips, almost like it was the last of the bottle and the waitress didn’t want to open another as my second glass was three times as big! We also had no idea there were specials until there was a table beside us with six people and our same waitress came over to them and we heard her offering specials. At the end of our meal we were given the bill not even asked if we needed a box. I had to go and stand by the bar and wait and ask another waitress for a box. I’m sorry but these are easy fixes! I would definitely go here again in hopes we get another waitress!

Is was cold rainy day but the food and service was warm and inviting. My husband doesn't eat sushi but he found lots to enjoy here as did my sushi loving son. Everyone left full and happy. A great stop after long day of skiing

Beautiful restaurant but I can't recommend them. Terrible service and a rude host. Much better places in Bethel to go.

Finally got a chance to stop in. It was busy, they take reservations which I would suggest. Many of the tables had reserved signs on them. We sat in the bar, nice high top table. Service was just OK. Bartender came over, was nice, we placed our order but we had to as about 30 minutes in where our apps were. Food overall was good, but the service was average. We might try it again.

Great place to hang out and have good food. Good find for a small town if you like sushi.

Staff and food were mediocre at best -- as noted by others the owner was kicking back gossiping on the deck during the dinner rush. I've literally had better sushi at Whole Foods. The eel tasted like it was hauled out of the mud. The beer was somehow awful, perhaps the lines need to be cleaned??? There were no seasonal veggies in my seasonal veggie glass noodles, and the tofu was bland. The dagger for me to write this review was the fact I feel absolutely ripped off at $120 for two before tip.

I called and they would just hang up and the lady finally answered and said we are too busy to do your pick up order it would be a two hour wait. And then hangs up before i can say anything. The attitude was unnecessary and it was just poor service.

I never write negative reviews, but I need to regarding this experience. We called ahead of time to ask if they would have a table for 7 in a few hours. It would be totally understandable if they didn’t! We’re very nice people! We received attitude over the phone that it will be crazy busy and they will squeeze us in outside. We were told we had 15 minutes to make a decision. Without taking that interaction as a warning sign, we showed up when we said we would to a completely EMPTY restaurant. You can tell these workers do not care about customers period. We were anticipating on ordering entrees. We wanted to have a fun night out at a Japanese restaurant. But after the incredibly rude attitude of our waiter (same man on the phone) we got the check after drinks and a couple apps and took our business elsewhere. Sad that this restaurant is the biggest inside joke from my friends Bachelor party.

We had the Tuna and Seafood Tempura. Tuna was good, Seafood Tempura was horrible.. greasy, pieces all stuck together or broken, thrown on bed of watery shredded whatever it was. Presentation was awful. I was comped a gift certificate for my meal.

Bethel is definitely the place to be for outdoor dining and small town charm. I was craving sushi after having gelato and wanted to pop in to try Cho Sun. The owner and her son were very pleasant, social and great to talk to. The restaurant was beautifully decorated on the inside with cultural aesthetics. I wasn’t really interested in the selection of cocktails that were offered and usually get a Lychee or Pear Martini when having Japanese. They were out of the ingredients to make both the Lychee or Pear Martinis. I tried the Ginger Blossom but did not enjoy the drink and couldn’t taste any of the other components but ginger. I ended up ordering the Japanese Mule which was good. We ordered the Philly Roll and the Crunchy Roll. I felt they were both ok but didn’t wow me necessarily. Maybe it was just the rolls I selected. The server was great, friendly and accommodating. We sat on the porch outside which was great with the warm weather. On street parking easily available.
