This place was last on our list of breweries to visit but ended up being one of our favorites! Beers were great and food was amazing. Had a great time here!
Great brewery!!! Great beer, traditional brewery atmosphere, food, canned beers to go.
I had high hopes for Batson River Brewing, but our recent visit was a huge letdown. First, I found hair in my food—not sure how that even happens at a restaurant unless the kitchen is that chaotic. When I brought it up to our waitress, Megan, she said she’d take the burger off the bill as an apology. That sounded fair... until the checks came.
Instead of removing the burger, she split the cost across our other two checks. One bill came to $56 for just two drinks ($10 each) and a burger being only ($18). The second bill was $51 for cornbread ($12), another burger ($18), and a drink ($10). The math doesn’t lie—clearly, the cost of my burger was just redistributed, not comped. It was also clear we were being stereotyped because of our age, which definitely contributed to the dismissive and careless service we received.
It felt misleading and dishonest. If you’re going to promise to comp something, do it. We weren’t looking for a handout, just basic respect and transparency. Sadly, I won’t be coming back—and I’ll be warning others too.
This brewery is a true gem! The beer selection is top-notch, the cocktails are creative and expertly crafted, and the food is absolutely delicious. What really sets this place apart is its strong sense of community, they regularly host events that bring people together, spark great conversations, and make every visit feel special. It’s more than just a brewery; it’s a hub for connection and good times. Can’t wait to come back!
Nice atmosphere in an old textile mill. I only tried the IPAs and they were ok, maybe the lagers and gose are better?
Brunch was fantastic!
Good beer, decent nachos
Great spot with fantastic food and beer!
By far the best bourbon stout… “The Mountain”. Sooo smooth! Take it from One Beer Bob!
Great people making for a great time! Our version Cheers…
Top notch beers and one of the few big breweries in Maine that consistently have great food made in house. Located in a nice, rustic, old mill space, it’s a great spot to bring a group of friends and relax with a cold pint.
Their patio is great in the summer and they always do a ton of fun events, any local Mainer should visit.

Love love love. Food and trivia. My girl loves their beer.
WHO IN THE HELL came up with Waxed Cardboard to hold cans of beer ????? MAYBE THE OWNERS should reach into a store cooler and grab a six pack by the finger holds and see how that works out!!!! I'll wait a couple of weeks to see if you have the "Common Sense" to change back to #2 Plastic then I'll move on to another brewer.
Beers were awesome. Food was delicious. Inside / outside seating areas. Parking a little difficult to find. Paid parking lot across street.
Stopped in for the first time this week. They had a good list of drafts available. Friendly staff. Larger space than Pigeon around the corner. We just had a pretzel, but we're surprised with the menu. We will be back for their Happy Hour.
Go for the beer, stay for the vibe! Daikaiju is one of the best IPAs on the market.
