I had such a pleasant experience at Lorne Wine! I don't drink wine often, but the service made me very comfortable and super happy with my wine choice. We loved the recommended wine so much that we bought a bottle! This place is great. Definitely go check it out!

Came in not knowing what wines to bring to Thanksgiving and left with two really cool bottles that I'll be excited to share with my relatives. Next time I would love to try some food and wine, and maybe get into some natural wine! It's nice knowing there's a place where you can go in no matter how well versed you are in wines. I'm looking forward to returning in the future.

We recently moved to Maine during COVID and I’ve always been a wine lover, but when in Maine, drink craft beer. So for the past 2 years my husband and I have developed a taste for good craft beer, but I still miss wine. After months of saying we were going to stop in, we finally went to Lorne in Biddeford tonight and couldn’t be more pleased. The wine selection was great. The bartender was friendly without being overly intrusive. The ambiance was great. Thumbs up for the pride flag. We only had a couple glasses, but their menu said if you purchase retail wine there they will serve it for a 15 dollar cost. We will probably take advantage of that in the future. If you are a wine lover I would highly recommend Lorne for a good glass of wine.

My partner and I live right down the street and we love Lorne!! I know nothing about wine so it's nice to have a neighborhood wine bar and shop with owners and staff that are unpretentious yet super knowledgeable. I love the all-are-welcome, relaxed and fun vibe of this spot. If you're in the area, check it out!

There aren't many wine bars in Biddeford or in the general Portland area -- it's mostly microbreweries and craft distilleries -- but I wanted to give this a try before heading up the street for dinner. I was the only customer around 5:00 on a June Friday evening, which I thought was odd -- it's not really the type of place you go for happy hour, though. In addition to the day's special wines by the glass, they had a few beers on draft and in bottles and cans, and a champagne. I tried the Gruner Veltiner, which is known to be Austria's white flagship variety and is a light-bodied wine with citrus notes of lemons, limes, and grapefruit. It was comparable to an excellent Sauvignon Blanc and was delicious. There were no small plates available for food, just a few snacks. The ambiance here is pretty nice, and it's a great opportunity to try an outstanding wine or two that you're not familiar with.
