My husband has been wanting to check this place out forever and it was so worth the wait and drive from NH. We loved the outdoor seating, the beer was really great, and their smash burgers were really unbelievable. Our server was very sweet. We would return!

I loved sacred profane and my wife and I were so excited they were up in Portland. Until we went in for a pint. The bathroom door doesn’t close or lock and they’re clearly still doing the genderless bathroom thing. I was using the urinal and a young girl walked in on me - which was super uncomfortable. Went back to the table and she pointed at me and said I was in her bathroom to which the parents looked over confused. I’m all about inclusivity but FIX YOUR BATHROOMS.

Geared towards sit down meals, not a quick drink. Wish I could've had a better experience just stopping in for a pint, but instead they made me feel awkward. It was not clear that I needed to be seated when I arrived (hostess MIA) or that the upstairs was closed for an event. A little more organization and this place would be great.

What an amazing little gem in downtown Biddeford. Easy parking, really cool atmosphere, amazing. employees like chef Dylan and server Kate, I can't recommend this place enough. They were so friendly and the food was incredible. We're pretty old so we've eaten a lot of places, and my husband had the Smashburger as did the two friends I was with, and they said it was the best they've had in their entire life. Biddeford has some really cool up-and-coming restaurants and this is one of the absolute best!

I tried the pale lager and the amber lager recently. The pale lager was fantastic and the amber lager was good (a little too dark for my taste). The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere in the place was the perfect way to spend a cold afternoon. Only complaint is that the smashburger and the fries were far too salty.
Sacred Profane is truly the heart of Biddeford with a warm and welcoming environment with unique upscale but comfortable atmosphere, excellet lager, unique cocktails, wine selection, top notch food and friendly staff. A great place to grab a drink by yourself or bring your family.

Although they only have a light and a dark lager — with a few variations of each, by adding more foam, mixing them, etc — they really have mastered these two beers. Less is more at Sacred Profane, and you can tell the team behind the magic has focused on quality over quantity.The venue itself is one of my favorites. It’s cozy and welcoming, with outdoor seating during the warmer months. The staff is always so amicable and helpful. If you’re a beer drinker, you have to visit Sacred Profane. I can’t wait for the Portland location!
