I love the blueberry and apple mini pies !! I am addicted now 😅

Because a gluten free option was needed, an apple pie was purchased at Sprouts. In the past, the blueberry was wonderful. The apple was watery, soggy and never firmed as a pie filling commonly does. Overall, disappointing.

Every slice of pie you will cut out will turn out looking nothing like how a slice of pie should look. The fillings are watery, and the crust does not hold itself together well. Although I will say the crust does taste very good. Some people without experience being gluten-free would say that's just how gluten-free things are, but that does not have to be true if you put more effort into your recipe. Not only are they insanely overpriced at $20+ for one pie, but if they were not gluten-free, they would never sell.

Now one of my biggest issues with this company, aside from the quality of their pies, is their slogan "This can't be gluten free, it tastes too good!" As a person with Celiac Disease, I find this incredibly offensive. Anyone with actual experience of living strictly gluten-free would know that something being gluten-free doesn't inherently affect the flavor, but rather shows a lack of understanding on baking gluten-free. It is an unnecessary stab and shows a lack of empathy towards people with Celiac Disease and gluten sensitivities to make this your slogan, especially when they are your target demographic.

Do better.

Was looking for a good pie for thanksgiving. Was very exited because the appearance looks very neat for it to be gluten free. Between waiting long for it to be done cooking only for it to be watery and not solid not close at all to apple pie. I would have been better off just cooking some apples. For the price this was not worth it at all. I didn't mind paying because I figured it was going to be a good pie but this was truly a waste of money and time . The baking instructions were all over the place and kinda unrealistic I had to read it a few times . Followed them and ended up with a watery pie.

I wish I didn't have to say this. On a visit to Brunswick I purchased one of their wild blueberry pies. While the filling was great, the crust was really bad, both texture and taste were simply terrible. If the crust had been normal I'd rave about the pie, but it was a big disappointment. I scooped out the filling and ate it with ice cream.

I tried to reach you by phone to see what I can do . I’m on a fixed income and as you know being celiac is expensive! I appreciate you having gf pies , I bought the apple pie cooked as directed-the time was up the top was getting a little too brown . When I took a piece out there was a lot of juice in the bottom and the bottom crust was not cooked . I might have to throw it out …

My family ate the gluten free pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving without even noticing it wasn't their normal pie! They went back for seconds! Thank you so much for getting your product into stores. Your cooking directions were great and eliminated the dreaded "soggy bottom". Please stay in business for at least my lifetime, having celiac is made a little bit easier with you around! I'm thankful this year for The Maine Pie Co!

I can't even begin to say how great these pies are. My order arrived still frozen despite living in the south....and I immediately put one of the mini apple pies into my air fryer....and oh my goodness!! Just the right amount of flaky crust, a little bit of tart to the apples, just the right amount of sugar and spices. So worth it! Thank you for offering just a great gf option!!

These pies are delicious. Hard to find a gluten-free pie that has the perfect balance and blend of ingredients. Love them. Thank you for making them.

Decent pizza , a little on the higher priced side in my opinion but so is everything in Portland . Flavorful sauce , with adequate cheese and toppings. We may try again but it isn’t at the top Of my list for pizza joints .

Here's a photo of my take-out pizza, which cost over $20. If I didn't know better, I'd have assumed that kids on summer break, made the pizza at home using sauce from a can and some cheese from the refrigerator, and delivered it to Portland Pie, for me. This was and is, inexcusable.

Service was attentive and friendly and food was excellent. Caesar salad was perfect and the pizza great. Beer and cider were ice cold and refreshing. Would recommend

I just purchased 4 pies. So I can only comment on the delivery at this time, as it will take a few months to taste them all...The pies arrived in good condition, no damages, in a well insulated box. 3 days from ME to PA in +80°F heat, and the pies had only just begun to slightly thaw. Ice packs were still frozen solid. No water leakage in the box.I'll return to comment on the quality and taste.
