Great place to go away from skowhegan. Bar is good size, and they had great entertainment the night that I went. It's too bright in there for a bar at night though. If they dim the lights after a certain hour I think it would be a lot better. I know people are eating, I understand that. But definitely too bright for a bar. I will definitely go again though. Kind of wish they were open later than just 9:00 p.m. but it is the winter months.
As a local I go here quite a bit. Yhe drinks are ALWAYS great. Gretchen is my fav. The food is usually good, but if something is off they take care of it with smiles. Even on busy or stressful nights the staff are always good to you and do their best to make your meal/drinks and night out fun. Closes at 9pm which is a bit early, but it's a great family spot. They have a small game room in the back. So if you want a night out and don't have a babysitter. Rent a cabin...
We stopped here for a quick bite. This restaurant and pub is focused on the river rafting crowd with much of the atmosphere referring to that activity - digital photos of the days events on the river, etc. There is a nice game room next door.
