This place is dirty. I could not eat my meal because I saw a roach. I reported it to management and they responded, "don't worry about it". Gross!
They have publicly called for the assassination of anyone who is republican or does not agree with the views of the LGBTQ community. They are on the news they made a bumper sticker that called for the assassination of another human being.
Owner promotes "Making Assassins Great Again". Disgusting and disturbing. No one should tolerate nor patronize a business that says or thinks this.
Horrible food owners were extremely rude avoid this place like the plague! Very poor service waited for 35 minutes for someone to even acknowledged us! Food was cold and tasted like card board!
Best take out food around with pleasant seating areas inside and out. We always have the fried scollop lunch but lobster rolls and other fried seafood is also excellent. Has salads and hot dogs etc too. Seasonal and closed on Tuesdays. We have been coming here for years. Never lets us down.
Loved the lobster and crab rolls, also the haddock tacos. We were really disappointed in the "Maine shrimp" which were tiny and soggy.
Straightforward fried seafood delight

Outdoor dining on lobster rolls, onion rings and scallops roll. Great food and reasonable prices. Nice shady spots at picnic table under the trees.

The Fish Net has been an institution on the Blue Hill Peninsula for decades and there's a reason why. If you are looking for an authentic Maine experience you've come to the right place. The haddock is fresh, flaky and lightly battered. They let the fish shine which is what you want when you're having fresh haddock. The coleslaw is also great, it's dressed just right. I highly recommend getting a side of their coleslaw and topping your haddock burger with it for the ultimate experience! There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors as well as a small full service dine-in area. Make sure to save room for the Gifford's ice cream or soft serve! I always look forward to when The Fish Net opens for the season! Going to be dreaming of that fried haddock burger until we meet again.

Very disappointing. Picked up a haddock platter and couldn't eat it. The haddock was not very fresh as it had a fishy taste. Everything tasted like old rancid oil. Apparently, they don't change the oil they fry in as it imparts the worst flavor to everything.
This is a busy, popular roadside restaurant. There are small booths located inside, picnic tables outside, and another small dining venue in the back. We ordered the haddock fish and chips, which comes with coleslaw. Very good homemade tartar sauce for dipping. I requested cocktail sauce and was surprised to see that it was not homemade but manufactured in a small plastic peel back the top portion of the cup for what is mediocre tasting cocktail sauce. Also served sub par brand ketchup packets, watery flavored ketchup. Tip: Heinz is the best! Might cost a little more but it will enhance your delicious food product. Our meals were very good. They offer a nice array of ice cream, a popular stop for everyone!
Great place, great folks.
I wish they would salt the French fries when they come out of the fryer so the salt sticks.
Great food. How in the heck can it close for winter Oct 1 when it's seventy degrees outside?????
