Great menu choices. Clean, great coffee selections, might be too many!?Like every place else, they are having difficulty hiring staff, so be patient. It's well worth the wait.

Beautiful spot in the heart of Blue hill! Sandy's had a great selection on the menu, a large variety of coffee, and numerous specials that all sounded delicious. It was fairly busy, we waited about 30 minutes to be seated, plenty of time to walk around the downtown area and window shop. The bruschetta appetizer is the perfect way to start your meal. The quiche special was delicious, and more than enough for a one-person lunch. Our server, Maizze, was super attentive and friendly. Definitely stop by Sandy's for a wonderful brunch!

They had outside seating so we were able to get a table and bring our dog with us. Excellent portions and Theresa was an excellent server. I had the tuna sandwich with fries and my wife had the jumbo quiche which she said was really good but maybe a little overcooked as the top was hard and crusty.

Wonderful menu and excellent service. I recommend the quiche. Double espresso - 5 stars.

I thought the food would be excellent (as the menu states) but it was not. I'm sure there are better places to spend your hard earned money. They always seem to be short staffed.Of course I didn't have everything on the menu and maybe other things would be better, but first impressions are always very impactful.

If you’re looking for a small cafe experience along the Maine coast, steer clear of this one. There are other spots that will provide what you’re looking for at a better price. Food was bland, service needs drastic improvement, and overall atmosphere felt a bit stuffy and unwelcoming. There are other great cafes in the area, try those first before you hit up this one. Sandy’s isn’t it.

Two seniors, we arrived at this place last Tuesday about 10 minutes before they closed the lunch service. The sign directed us to proceed to the counter. There we stood for about 5 minutes. The staff refused to acknowledge our presence so we left. And did so with a very different feeling about Blue Hill.

Better luck next time?I had food at this cafe today (Saturday) around 10:30 for brunch and I was unfortunately really disappointed in how it all turned out.We were served by an older lady who was nice, but really unorganized. It took a sold 30 minutes for my family to get our drinks (all of them just being coffees and a mocha). That was 30 minutes after we ordered, may I add. We repeatedly were given wrong drinks, and sometimes a different server would bring over a drink and give us a confused face and then a shrug after we told them it was the wrong drink. Our wait time for food was understandable, as the restaurant was busy and there was another larger party, but we ordered lighter fare first (salmon plater and pop overs) to start which we actually received with our meal. The bagels on the plater were stale and unfortunately tasteless. My brother, mother, and partner all got their breakfast food, and then 10 minutes passed until our server came over and asked if we all had what we needed. To which we told her we were missing two meals and she then had to retake my order and my fathers order because she lost it. We then waited another 10-15 minutes while everyone else ate to receive our order (which was just bacon, eggs, toast, and home fries.)I was disappointed by the unorganization and lack of care the servers exhibited. we paid $159.00 for a meal that was really not worth that. I want to confidently tell people Sandy’s Cafe is the place to go, but with this experience I can’t feel good about recommending it.Once telling management about this, I was also given a shrug with no remorse.

We have visited Sandy’s cafe previously for lunch and had been satisfied. Since it is newly opened for dinner, we thought we might give it a try. We were the only party dining on this particular night. The waitress was friendly and eager to please. However, the food was subpar. I had the veal saltimbocca as did another member of our group. It was served in a heavy white sauce that was far too pasty. It was not a classic dish. The other members of the group were satisfied with their meals. Then dessert was a disappointment as the crème brûlée was almost inedible, again not a classic dish. I won’t return for dinner .

Lovely place to have dinner. The calamari a la spagos with pepperoncini, garlic and pepperoni was perfection--perfectly fried, tender, and so flavorful, unlike anything I've had before. Sandy and Bill are very kind, generous hosts, and I look forward to returning soon.
