Every time we visit Maine, we make it a point to stop by Rocky Ridge Orchard and it never disappoints. This charming spot in Bowdoin has become a beloved part of our trips thanks to its welcoming atmosphere and unbeatable baked goods.
The pies are phenomenal, with flaky crusts and rich, homemade fillings that taste like they came straight from grandma’s kitchen. And the donuts are soft, fresh, and full of flavor, especially the apple cider ones which are a seasonal favorite.
The orchard itself is beautiful, with a peaceful setting and a cozy country store filled with local goodies, fresh produce, and friendly faces. Whether you're picking apples, grabbing a coffee, or just enjoying the scenery, it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and savor the moment.
If you're anywhere near Bowdoin, Rocky Ridge Orchard is absolutely worth the stop. It’s more than just a bakery, it’s a slice of Maine hospitality we look forward to every time.

Do not go after the beginning of October. We went the second weekend and there was zero apples to pick off the trees. They were all on the ground.

The food was so amazing! I was surprised at the high quality. Will be dreaming about the turkey pesto sandwich. While apple picking, we had a great view, plus there were no crowds! We had an amazing time munching and picking.

Rocky Ridge has the best Apple Cider Donuts around! All the pastries are excellent as well as the breakfast sandwiches and the Mac and cheese is outstanding! I go there every year for my apples, pumpkins, cranberries, and food!! I have been to the other farms that have the donuts but none are as good as Rocky Ridge..
