I had the Peppercorn Burger. Very tasty. Highly recommend.
Me and my coworkers just go there after work. Best dinner that we get on a while, everything was delicious from the beginning to the end. We get attended by Suzanne, excellent service and very good recommendations. Favorite place in town now.
Amazing experience at the Blackhorse Tavern. I took my fiancé here for a date night. We started with the teriyaki smoked wings, delicious. And I got the southwest Cajun burger, and she got the steak tips over red mashed potatoes. They were both unbelievable, and our waitress was very accommodating and timely. This was our first time here we are definitely going to come back and try something else.
Had a small hiccup with an order and the manager promptly addressed it and if customer service doesn’t earn them a customer for life the food surely does as well!

One thing I’ve grown used to in this town is that most places won’t offer takeout after 6 or during dinner rush. I called the other day and no answer ( sigh ). To my surprise less than 60 seconds later they call back, take my order and had it done in expected time. Plus the food was great.
Went in for lunch even though it was busy, we were seated right away. We had the Fish and chips, and bacon wrapped Angus beef meatloaf on smashed potatoes, searved with sauted fresh greens and zucchini. Food was hot and fresh tasting. The only problem was trying to decide what to get! We are looking forward to coming back soon and trying more things.
The boursin burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The pretzels with beer cheese were fresh and delicious. They've been in business since 1987. Clearly they're doing something right.
We've been going here for years and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing, and the staff is awesome. Very highly recommend.

Food and atmosphere are hard to beat in the area. The service was spotty though as our waitress always seemed to have something better to do.
Wait staff was very professional and personable with our drink and food service! Greatly appreciated plus the apple crumble is amazing almost close to moms apple crumble!
All around great. Excellent fried fish! Great drink!
Have not been to the Black Horse in 20 years, but was quickly reminded why. Nothing on the dinner menu was under $23 dollars per person. I ordered the meatloaf. My colleague ordered the ribs. It was not a busy night but took extremely long for the meal. Long enough we each added a salad. About 30 minutes later the food arrived. My meatloaf was marginal at best, tasted like it was cooked a week ago and just reheated as it was burnt on top and cold in the middle. My colleagues meal, the ribs were charred black and then to hide the burnt ribs, a heavy layer or bbq sauce was applied over the top. We should have sent them both back but already had nearly 45 minutes invested here. We choked it down with beer. Then the bill was the next thing to choke down, $102 bucks for two people, I mean this is Bridgton ME not Boston! But wait, there’s more…. When I paid, received the receipt, $106 dollars, they added a credit card fee without telling us, I would have paid cash. The staff was friendly, so that was good. I’m sorry to say I can’t recommend this restaurant! Actually, probably should avoid it. This isn’t personal, just honest review.
As service a little slow but the waitress had a lot of tables, prob a busier afternoon than expected.
