Sue was such a delight! Food was incredible and the menu was very eclectic and fun with options for everyone. Sue kept the coffee and mimosas coming. Steak benedict special was to die for. I’m from Georgia and the brunch menu here at the Black Horse Tavern blows ours out of the water. 10/10 would recommend!

My family has been coming to this restaurant every summer for twelve years. Today was by far the worst experience we have ever had at any restaurant in our lives. The waitress, Makaila, took our order and then never returned to the table for an hour and twenty minutes. We had to ask the hostess to refill the children’s water glasses and to check on our food. Meanwhile, the waitress went to the table of eight very drunk and very loud men right next to us at least ten times in the hour and completely ignored our table. When we finally got up and asked to speak to a manager after 90 minutes of zero food, drinks or service, the manager stated “what do you want me to do about it?”. There was no attempt to offer en explanation for the extensive wait, or even to see if we’d like more drinks, rolls etc. As someone who has worked in high end restaurants for over twenty five years- this was by far the worst service and the worst dining experience o have ever had. To make matters worse, when we finally got the food, the pasta dish was cold, the ribs burnt & dry, and the medium rare steah tips were well done. We don’t know what happened to this place but after twelve years we will never go back. The owner should be severely ashamed of how his staff behave to a family with three children.

Food was Slow to come out. The Table next to us was VERY loud And DID not Shut up the whole time. We asked to move and waitress claimed it was just as loud in other seats. Though it seemed otherwise. If you are looking for a nice Pleasant meal this place is not it.

The first time visiting here, I definitely will be returning.
The bartender was witty, funny, and very efficient.
Most places serve one a rack of ribs or a half a rack. They serve a rack and a half. The food is good, the prices are good. .

First time there and it was good.
The food was very good and service was good.
Stopped in for a surprise lunch after driving around trying to get the kids to nap.
The food was top notch for the area offerings. Definitely worth the drive from further out. Was probably the best piece of haddock I've had in the area in a long time. Atmosphere is cool, and all the menu offerings are unique and offer something a bit more upscale than regular pub faire. Would definitely recommend.

Omg! I am from Boston…my fiancé has built a home in Denmark. I was dying for lobster pie. I called the Tavern and spoke to Shannon. Although they didn’t have lobster pie, she spoke to the chef and made two for us. It was the best I ever had!! I just want to say how amazing everyone was. Sue, who is a bartender, made me feel right at home. Shannon, of course, is the best bartender!! She got us our lobster pies. This place is very accommodating! Food was delicious!!! Thank you so much!

Me and my coworkers just go there after work. Best dinner that we get on a while, everything was delicious from the beginning to the end. We get attended by Suzanne, excellent service and very good recommendations. Favorite place in town now.
Amazing experience at the Blackhorse Tavern. I took my fiancé here for a date night. We started with the teriyaki smoked wings, delicious. And I got the southwest Cajun burger, and she got the steak tips over red mashed potatoes. They were both unbelievable, and our waitress was very accommodating and timely. This was our first time here we are definitely going to come back and try something else.
Had a small hiccup with an order and the manager promptly addressed it and if customer service doesn’t earn them a customer for life the food surely does as well!

One thing I’ve grown used to in this town is that most places won’t offer takeout after 6 or during dinner rush. I called the other day and no answer ( sigh ). To my surprise less than 60 seconds later they call back, take my order and had it done in expected time. Plus the food was great.
