My husband and I came here based on the good reviews and recommendations from locals but were quite disappointed. First, we tried to order the goat cheese fritters which were apparently out and it was only 6;30 on a Sunday night. The food also took an incredibly long time to come out, including my husband’s simple greens salad. When the food did finally come out, it was let down. My husband had the knuckle sandwich which he described as “meh”. I asked for my salad with no cheese but apparently they took that as no crostini as well because all I got were leaves and dressing on the side. A pretty pricey meal which was not worth it at all and we won’t be back.

We could not have enjoyed ourselves more. Sumptuous food. Beautiful surroundings. Welcoming staff – particularly Jillian, who was also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and made us feel special. We’ll hurry back. Thank you!

The staff brought a happy anniversary card for my wife and I. They found out that this was our anniversary dinner and all signed a card!
Awesome food. Haddock was good with lentils that it didn’t make sense. Irrational good flavor.

A Truly Memorable Experience at 555 North.
As a local business owner here in Brunswick, I really value great service, and 555 North absolutely delivered.
From the moment I walked in, the space felt warm and welcoming. It’s upscale without being stuffy, and the ambiance made it easy to relax and enjoy the evening. The service? Exceptional. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care that I had a great experience. That level of attentiveness doesn’t go unnoticed, especially for someone like me who understands how important good service is in any business.
So refreshing to have a place like this in town, a spot that consistently offers great food, a beautiful setting, and truly top-notch service. As someone invested in this community, I’m grateful for the experience and proud to recommend 555 North to friends, visitors, and locals alike.
Can’t wait to return!

The food here was actually so terrible. This place has to be running a major scam to be throwing out dishes like this at this price point. The chicken was dry and not seasoned. The mushrooms and onions that came with it were boiled, not sautéed. Someone else in the party got mussels that were not fresh and also sandy (which happens sometimes, but the sauce they came in was also outrageously oily). All the other food was subpar. I could chalk it all up to a bad night in the kitchen, but also the table got a 50$ bottle of wine which turned out to be a screw top bottle. It’s honestly crazy. I know that restaurants mark up bottles for sale, but I cannot think of any excuse for a screw top bottle to be served in a fine dining establishment. This place is wildly sloppy and like i said, seems to be running some kind of scam

We went here last minute for our anniversary instead of driving down to Portland, and I'm so glad we did!
Service was top notch! The food was excellent, along with our drinks. We tried a few different things from appetizers to desserts and we were pleased with everything!

I really enjoyed this restaurant for a fancy night out. The food was delicious, they had a few mocktails available, and they had a nice bar.
Parking: You park behind the building, but there is a back entrance with a set of stairs or an elevator. If there's someone with mobility issues, dropping them off at the front entrance would be easier.

We enjoyed a memorable 75th birthday meal this weekend. Food was exceptional, service was impeccable (diligent, pleasant, knowledgeable, entertaining). Decor and furnishings are stellar.

555 was a great surprise. It’s an outstanding restaurant I didn’t expect to find in Brunswick. The food was delicious. We had mussels as an appetizer and I had the NY strip steak as my main course. The restaurant is inside The Federal Hotel, but it’s not a typical hotel restaurant. It’s a real fine dining experience and beautifully decorated, including hand painted walls. And the service was excellent. If I lived nearby I would come here regularly.
