I love the food at Aki but recently had a problem there that I wasn't aware of until I went home in Brunswick. We ordered from the paper menus and it turned out that the prices of what we ordered was $20 more on the QR code menu. I think that the restaurant needs to update the paper menus because they are truly deceptive and may cater to younger people who are more familiar with ordering on a virtual menu. I love the food there but may not return for a while because of this experience.

Good food but be careful when given menus. We were told the menus given to us were with the old prices and should look on line for the updated prices. Our phones could not access the internet and figured that the prices would not be too much higher than what we saw. In the end our bill was $120 for lunch (for two adults three kids). Questioned the server who became defensive and I figured it was not worth continuing arguing. Left feeling cheated like tourists being taken advantage of. If being told the prices in the beginning, I would probably not have minded, but presented with a bill 40% higher than anticipated. we left unsatisfied to say the least.

Be very careful! Our family visiting from Sweden went here for lunch. They were given menus and were told that the prices had changed but were not offered updated menus. They were told to go to the website for an updated menu with updated pricing. They could not access the Internet services, ordered from the menus they were given anyway and were shocked to get their bill at the end of the meal. They ended up paying much more then they had anticipated ($20 for lunch sushi instead of the $13 written on the menu). Is that any way to treat your customers?

This is an excellent option for fresh flavorful sushi ?. I had the seared tuna steak, tako sashimi, smoked saki sushi, tiger roll and spider roll. Along with nigiro saki. Every dish was prepared with love and kindness. All dishes were flavorful and filling. From the rice, to the micro greens to the seafood. The staff was friendly and very kind. I give this establishment 5 of 5 forks. Try it, you won't leave disappointed. Cheers!

Service was the only thing even slightly lacking. We had to wait a while for our drink orders. The sushi was delicious Tried the grandma special per the sushi chef’s recommendation and it was delicious.

Great service, the Hibachi chef Edwin is a great chef and very fun, he made sure we all had a great time and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend going here.
Kid-friendliness: The chef was so great with my 4 year old and made sure thhey were comfortable and had a fun time. Chef even let them play with the small rubber chicken during the performance. Great tricks as knife skills and jokes for the little ones.
Wheelchair accessibility: The top floor is wheelchair accessible in some seating.
I ordered the three kind sushi plate and it was delicious. I think they make their own pickled ginger. I also really enjoyed the miso soup.

Sadly we will not return. The seaweed salad was too sweet, rolls were boring, and the ginger was past it’s due date, dry in texture & resembled hickory smoked turkey..it should have never left the kitchen other than a garbage bag. Customer service was friendly but could not counter the former.

Our visit started poorly as was told lunch menu was not available after 3pm. No other customers and was 3:30. Then told prices on menu were not correct and needed to use a QR code to get correct prices- really? Food was simply put very ordinary. Tuna and California Rolls were bland and almost without flavor. Spicy shrimp roll better but little better than grocery store quality. Tea was lukewarm.
