This little gem is absolutely amazing. When we went in to pick up our order someone else picked it up. The immediately made a new order and gave us a little extra. The food was definitely worth the wait!

Attentive staff, delicious food, Rupee beer to pair with the food, and collab gelato with The Gelato Fiasco. Raj was very welcoming!

The best Indian food I’ve ever had! Excellent! Hot and fresh. Friendly, swift service. Clean and cozy atmosphere. Super comfortable. My son and I spent the day driving up the Maine coast and decided to stop in Brunswick for lunch. We parked in the free parking lot out back. As soon as we stepped out of the vehicle we could smell something delicious nearby. We both turned and saw the restaurant and eagerly wanted to try it. My son had a spicy curry dish and loved it. I cannot recall the name of the dish I had but it was a delicious paneer dish. Cooked perfectly. We got Naan bread for the table.. super yummy. I highly recommend Bombay Mahal. Sooo good!

If minus five stars were an option, this would get it.
The food at Bombay Mahal had absolutely no real Indian taste — bland, lifeless, and completely lacking authentic flavors. Nothing we ordered stood out, and some dishes were barely edible. Paying $192 for food with this level of taste is honestly shocking. This was one of the worst Indian food experiences I’ve had.

Believe it or not, these dishes once housed a colorful, aromatic and plentiful Indian meal. The chicken tikka masala paired with delicious chicken tikka saag was mopped up with the essential garlic naan.

I have been here twice and will keep coming. It’s a cosy place, always bustling (shows it’s popular), food is amazing - has Indian chefs- and to top it amazing customer service. You will not regret and you will have close to India taste on all the items! 😃

Bombay Mahal was the only restaurant option open for miles on Thanksgiving Nov 27th 2025. We called ahead to reserve for a party of 5 and came in around 6pm for dinner to a packed dining hall. We were immediately offered drinks and ordered a feast. This restaurant has been operating for over 50 years and the food taste, quality and food was excellent. Everyone from our group was highly impressed and left saying this was the best Friendsgiving we have ever had. Keep it up Bombay Mahal.
