Ritual is one of my favorite places to have coffee and a treat. April is literally an artist and every single thing I’ve had there has been 10/10. Her savory options are fantastic and so are her fruit danishes and croissants. I especially love the cardamom morning bun and the peach raspberry danish. Not only does everything taste amazing but it looks beautiful too. Everyone who works there is delightful and it’s just a great experience overall. I’m so glad to have such a great bakery in Brunswick!

I’m so grateful that Ritual Bakehouse is here in Brunswick; it means I don't have to drive to Portland for a great croissant or to Montreal for an unforgettable French cake.

Last summer, my husband and I asked April if she could cater a small wedding gathering for us, and she went above and beyond. She prepared a beautiful spread of breakfast pastries with coffee for the morning, and an exquisite entremet cake for the afternoon. We love light, not-too-sweet cakes with Japanese/Asian flavor influences, and April created a custom fraisier with yuzu sponge and marmalade, matcha mousseline, and strawberry jam. Everyone at our gathering said it was the best cake they’d ever had — we even talked about planning a reunion and ordering the exact same cake.

The breakfast pastries were just as well-loved. Several guests who usually have sensitivities to bread or pastries commented that they felt great after eating April’s: proof of the care and quality that go into everything she makes.

April and her team are always warm and welcoming, and the shop has such a cheerful, inviting vibe. If she ever expands into more dessert offerings, I’m convinced Ritual could become the best French pastry shop in all of Maine, if not New England. After living in multiple major cities, I’ve yet to find anyone who makes cake like hers.

Best bakery around, hands down! Try the chocolate hazelnut-banana passion fruit jam croissant. It's to die for! If you see the pistachio coffee cake, GET IT! Oh! The breakfast sandwiches-OMG, YUMM

LOVE ritual! you walk in and are immediately greeted by the aroma of fresh baked pastries and some of the kindest people in maine. everything is amazing but the almond croissant is life-changing. so wonderful (and dangerous!) to have them in town.

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Ritual Bakery on Main Street in Brunswick this morning. It's been a while since I last visited, back when it was a pizza place. The calming paint colors, local artwork on the walls, and the lovely, serene staff created a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. The pastries, both savory and sweet, were simply stunning. I have to give special mention to the chocolate croissant! I'm often disappointed by croissants with hard chocolate inside, but this one was perfect—beautifully flaky with gloriously soft and melty chocolate inside.

What a great addition to Brunswick!! The shop is super cute inside and the pastries are AMAZING. I swear I will be craving a morning bun just about every morning now! So good! Highly recommend stopping in a getting coffee and a treat!

As someone with an relatively extensive patisserie background, I can honestly say that I have never had a better raspberry danish in my life. Every single baked good they offer tastes incredible, and to top it off, looks absolutely gorgeous! Their service is also very warm and welcoming, and I can't wait to come back with friends and family.
