The food and atmosphere is really good. The service was decently quick. The only reason I'm doing 4 stars is because they had a really, really, really, really bad joke. Also, it's overpriced.

My husband and I just had lunch at the Sam’s Italian Restaurant in Augusta, Maine. The cranberry almond chicken salad sandwich was excellent, and I had to save half of it for later because it was so huge. My husband had the chicken parmigiana sandwich and he said it was the best he ever had.
Kind, friendly employees. The place was nice and clean. Glad we found this restaurant.
We will definitely be back soon.

sam's Italian foods have really gone "downhill"! use to be able to get a really good Italian there..not anymore! these people need training on how to make an Italian!
