My husband and I tried the feta spread appetizer which was delicious, a leek pie with phyllo. Our server was knowledgeable on the food but also the wine. They offered tasting samples on the wine which was helpful. Our main course was grilled lamb and veal that were seasoned & cooked to perfection. This is a must try destination.
Excellent service and well prepared food. The small restaurant is simply but well laid out. The wine list, all Greek in origin, is extensive. Stand out dishes for dinner included the whole sea bass and a filo pastry with a leek filling.
I don’t think it would be far‑fetched to say that, over the past three years, Taverna Khione has been my dining sanctuary. After long stretches away from home, had someone told me I could enjoy the dishes of my childhood—each prepared in the exact, authentic manner one savors at their grandmother’s table—right here in Brunswick, I would never have believed them.
