The food here is terrific. Every time we go. For mains, we had a whole grilled sea bass and the fisherman's stew and both were delicious - as was our shared appetizer and dessert (which was complex and I can't even tell you what it was, but it was great). The wine is expensive, but the meal deserves it. Usually, it's a quiet place but this night included others who were enjoying themselves so I wrote moderate for the noise level. Still, it was easy to have a conversation....
We have been here several times, though this was the first time this summer. Never disappoints with something for every palate. Good bang for the buck. Good wine recommendations. Have also sent others who have loved it. One of our favorites in the Midcoast.
The menu was varied. I had the sea bass, braise veggies and roasted lemon potatoes which were fabulous. My husband loved his baked stuffed zucchini with meat stuffing. I had a portion of the baked zucchini fritters which were to die for. The wine and beer selections were enjoyed by our table. Service was friendly and attentive. Eating at Taverna Khione was a wonderful experience.
