Is it a bar? Is it a coffee shop? Is it a restaurant? It’s all of that! This James Beard “Best New Bar” award winner is a must-go for anyone visiting or cruising through Brunswick. Part-Owner, Connor, shared the cool story of how good friends and roommates came together to create The Abbey, which is based on many casual dinner parties they had over the recent years. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The food was incredibly delicious and creatively presented, piping hot. Last but not least, the cocktails were fantastic, with all mixers house-made. Love it here.

The Abbey in Brunswick, Maine is a great place to gather with friends and enjoy cocktails, great coffee and a delicious menu with shareable plates with breakfast and lunch options. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is both rustic and beautiful with stained glass windows adding to the decor. Will definitely visit again!

AMAZING food and atmosphere. My wife and I went here for vacation, and the staff (and I think owner) were super patient with our toddler spilling maple syrup on their super nice velvet chair. They're waffle-wich was surprisingly REALLY good. We ordered one to go to snack on the rest of our trip. The bread pudding was also unreal. And live music, which we also didn't expect! We're so glad we wandered in here. Oh, they also have us a free container of their amazing homemade harissa hotsauce. Couldn't recommend them enough!

I LOVE that there is a piano, and that a professor from Brunswick College comes and plays or brings students to play on Sundays from Jazz brunch!!! How cool is that?

The menu is extensive, and you can order anything at all, all day!!!

I saw MEM tea, lots of games, and seating of all kinds (couches turned to lounge and talk, tables, etc).

The stain glasses window effect is gorgeous!!!

Everything to Love in this delightful coffee shop on Main Street in Brunswick Maine
Real silverware, delightful, helpful staff, And lovely atmosphere with great music

I highly recommend the popcorn and I love that they have a popcorn selection and I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich in lainey style. It’s across the street from a couple wonderful stores, unique and fun to poke around in. Highly recommend stopping in Brunswick.

We stopped at Abbey’s on our way up to Acadia and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic about their cocktails. Would recommend to anyone looking for a casual cocktail.

Stopped by for a quick coffee run on our way to Portland from Acadia and wasn’t expecting much lattes rarely impress me these days. But I decided to try the Blueberry Cobbler Latte, and I have to say, it totally changed my mind. Smooth, flavorful, and just the right strength. The service was warm and welcoming, and the cozy atmosphere made it a perfect stop. Highly recommend if you’re passing through!

I travel far and wide to find and rate breakfast sandwiches, it's kind of a thing. Obsession? Passion? In between?

This session was at The Abbey in Brunswick, Maine; a quaint cozy niche on Maine St.

The offering at The Abbey is a Portuguese muffin with egg and cheddar. I opted for house garlic herb spread with prosciutto.

Excellent execution on this wonderful version of the classic morning staple, the muffin was toasted perfectly and the egg done just right; with the cheddar, garlic herb, and savory nature of the prosciutto balancing flavor perfectly.

Kudos to The Abbey, on this hand-held morning delight.

Food Quality = 5/5
Preparation/ Execution = 5/5
Uniqueness/ Originality = 4/5

- Nothing way out there, but a unique solid take on this breakfast standard, with the muffin, garlic herb and prosciutto wonderfully completing the flavor profile.

Small coffee shop with fun& experimental bites. The oysters are so good; I'd commit many crimes to receive unlimited oysters from here. Caffeine and oyster addicts would love this spot

Such a cute place with amazing drinks and pastries. The iced chai and maple latte were great! The dark chocolate scone was the best scone i’ve ever had. On top of that, I really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of the shop!
