The best bar in Brunswick. I can't speak for their breakfast and lunch, but for a cocktail in the evening The Abbey is just on a different level than anywhere between here and Portland. Truly great cocktails and interesting small plates. No draft beer, but their can selection is outstanding. Seriously, everything I've eaten or drinken here has been delicious and thoughtful and whimsical.

My absolute favorite spot to bring my friends to grab drinks and yummy food! The staff is so nice and the atmosphere is 10/10. They also throw the best parties (would recommend buying tickets immediately because they sell out so quickly! They are that fun!)

Such a fun place! The popcorn (especially the everything bagel one 🤤) is to die for, and all of the drinks are delicious and unique. The owners are so kind and have done a wonderful job with making the Abbey an inclusive and welcoming hang out spot. Can't wait to go back!

Staff are always incredibly welcoming, kind, knowledgeable, and consistently give spot on recommendations. Events are always super fun, music is always the perfect vibe, and the overall atmosphere is cozy but upscale in an approachable and not-at-all-stuffy way. Part-Owner, Connor, shared the cool story of how good friends and roommates came together to create The Abbey, which is based on many casual dinner parties they had over the recent years. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The food was incredibly delicious and creatively presented, piping hot. Last but not least, the cocktails were fantastic, with all mixers house-made. Love it here.

The Abbey in Brunswick, Maine is a great place to gather with friends and enjoy cocktails, great coffee and a delicious menu with shareable plates with breakfast and lunch options. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is both rustic and beautiful with stained glass windows adding to the decor. Will definitely visit again!
AMAZING food and atmosphere. My wife and I went here for vacation, and the staff (and I think owner) were super patient with our toddler spilling maple syrup on their super nice velvet chair. They're waffle-wich was surprisingly REALLY good. We ordered one to go to snack on the rest of our trip. The bread pudding was also unreal. And live music, which we also didn't expect! We're so glad we wandered in here. Oh, they also have us a free container of their amazing homemade harissa hotsauce. Couldn't recommend them enough!

I LOVE that there is a piano, and that a professor from Brunswick College comes and plays or brings students to play on Sundays from Jazz brunch!!! How cool is that?
The menu is extensive, and you can order anything at all, all day!!!
I saw MEM tea, lots of games, and seating of all kinds (couches turned to lounge and talk, tables, etc).
The stain glasses window effect is gorgeous!!!

I highly recommend the popcorn and I love that they have a popcorn selection and I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich in lainey style. It’s across the street from a couple wonderful stores, unique and fun to poke around in. Highly recommend stopping in Brunswick.
