Much larger location and very nice

Wonderful food and service. Way too noisy at dinner. As tourists, it became a go-to place in Brunswick.

I don't know how these people are still on business. Bland and greasy food. My pasta was not even cooked properly. Service was not so good either.

Great food. Highly recommend reservations because we waited a while (45 minutes) to be seated, but it was worth the wait. The server was efficient, but we felt she could have been friendlier. Authentic Italian food. Garlic knots are delicious!

Came here around 3pm for late lunch. Nice quiet place just off the main drag kinda adjacent to the neighborhood houses.

Lasagna was delicious 😋

Excellent food with large portions. Among our group we tried several different entrees and pizza, and none disappointed us. Seasonal cocktails were also very good. Would recommend to anyone visiting Brunswick.

TA's title presents as "The Great Impasta - CLOSED," but it has simply relocated to where Maiz in B'wick used to be. Hope TA has a way to remove the CLOSED, as the "Improve this listing" dropdown show just "The Great Impasta." Easier access and parking- the corner by the Rte 1N ramp and Maine Street was always an adventure (I walked, so less adventurous, but really hot noonish). Some recent reviews, maybe in other review sites as well, had cited watery (not mushy) pasta, indicated it had been cooked properly but not drained properly, and I can confirm. Not bad enough to complain, but should be noted. Had the Capellini Aglio Olio that came with so much garlic I initially thought they might have mistakenly served the pesto, but it was in fact delicious garlic. Garlic knots served to soak up the excess, and the portion, unlike many times when I am compelled by the haunting diagnosis of obesity by a long-gone PCP to bring half home for a later meal, was appropriate for a lunch not preceded by vigorous exercise. New location seems much bigger; on a quiet summer Monday lunchtime there were plenty of tables and welcome A/C.

I will start with the highlights.
The staff was remarkable, friendly and efficient.
Their new location is beautiful, cozy, seats from my understanding, 88.
Now let's get to the food, the salad which I was so craving came with one olive, one tomato, two slices of salami and wilted salad mix. The garlic knots were on the verge of verge of undercooked.
I ordered chicken Alfredo as my main. AND IT WAS FLAVORLESS. Even after adding salt, pepper and addition parmasean. Complete void of flavor.
The waitress was amazing and removed my meal from the check.

Side note I'm a chef and today way my birthday
The raspberry ice tea was great

Service, food & drinks were exceptional

We've been going to the Great Impasta for the last 40 years. The new spot on Pleasant Street solved the overcrowding problem while still providing excellent food and service .

Food wasn't that good for the price. I got the shrimp scampi and it was just red sauce over some spaghetti noodles and shrimp. Nothing fancy or anything, it was bland as well.
The bread rolls were Top Notch tho!
