Absolutely the best Asian food in Brunswick. It is in a basement, but it’s still really nice and cozy.

We had hoped to like this place - we frequently go to Brunswick and we’re looking for a good sushi/ramen spot. Unfortunately Watami does neither very well. First - the ramen. The tonkotsu ramen was the worst ramen I’ve ever had. Ramen is all about the broth - and this one was literally like water - flavorless and thin. The sushi was only slightly better - very institutional. We came for lunch on a Thursday. I would not come back.

Was craving ramen and Watami did not disappoint! Got some fruit milk teas to go which were also delicious. Highly recommend, definitely will be going back.

Amazing, super unique choices
Hidden gem that is literally hidden, beneath Richard’s off of Maine St in downtown Brunswick. Went and had poke bowls and karaage chicken, both of which were amazingly well done. They serve specialty teas, which were also really good. Service was quick, not much wait for the food. Love the vibe of the place too, like you know it’s going to be good when you walk in. Definitely recommend!

The Dinosaur Egg is phenomenal, next time I stop by I may just order 3 of those with a drink and be satisfied. The poke was pretty good too!
Can't wait to try the noodle dishes next time. Vibes are lacking a bit,
I mean the place is in a basement can't do much about atmosphere, but they make it work.

THE BEST sushi spot in the area HANDS DOWN! [Coming from NYC] I didn't expect to find a local spot this good outside of Portland, but Watami is BETTER than any of the places I've tried in Portland (and actually better than some places I'd been to in NYC!) Mind you, I go for the specialty rolls, so I can't speak to their sashimi or sushi. But the appetizers are also fantastic. I recommend the pork gyoza and vegetable tempura, just to name a couple. The California Sunshine roll is AMAZING! It elevates the usually boring (in my opinion) standard California roll into something next level. I also love the Dragon, and Red Dragon...I mean really you can't go wrong with any of them. Even the drinks! I love the cake cream matcha! So good. And the service is also excellent! They're so nice and attentive. We drive nearly 25 minutes just to come here for dinner and I'm not mad at it one bit!

My boyfriend and I recently were visiting Maine and came across this restaurant. I was very pleased with the service and poke bowl that I ordered! We immediately were greeted and sat at a cozy table, and the wait time was not long. The boba milk tea was delicious, in addition to the Ramen and Poke bowl! I highly recommend coming here.

Low quality sushi experience, they tried to pass off non-Maine crab as Maine crab. Dine in a windowless basement.

Great food and drinks but quite pricey. Staff is great, location a little bit of a dive, combatted fruit flies for most of my meal. Overall good experience.
