Deelicious. Thank you for your truly magnificent thanksgiving feast! We are eating leftover duck, shiitake wonton ( in duck soup.i.made from the frame) and that wonderful.rice tonight, even better than day one, which was wildly delicious. plus I now have more than a pint of duckfat for which I am planning fitting uses

We found this place by coincident walking around in the neighborhoods in New Brunswick, so we stopped by. We were towards the end of their day, and they were out of a few things, so we did get the ordered a few things that they still had and shared them. The food felt fresh and tasty. We enjoyed sitting inside and the energy in the place. It was a great find.

Amazingly kind staff & very excited to see a new Asian market in the area. I had Inari, an egg tart, hot tea, and a chive pancake. The Inari and egg tart were good, but the scallion pancake was flavorless & almost too hard to eat. I eat chive/scallion pancakes frequently at home & when I lived in NYC, & this pancake just missed the mark for me.

Vegetarian options: Had various vegan & vegetarian options

What a gem! This is sister of fine dining Tao Yuan/Bao Bao Dumpling house next door.

You get all the James Beard nominated flavor w/ fast casual pricing & friendly service. The owner was also awarded Food & Wine Magazine’s Chef of the Year.

Our faves (some regular items, some seasonal specials):
*Shrimp shao mai
*Pork & cabbage potstickers (take home a bag in the frozen case!)
*Eighty Ate slaw
*Vietnamese banh mi sandwich (chicken or duck)
*Bulgogi or curry shrimp potsticker
*Steamed baos (BBQ pork, etc)
*Boba w/ real tea (not the fake powder w/ flavored syrup)

As an Asian from Southern California, Zao Ze hits my Chinatown-quality cravings in small town New England.

Grab your pantry staples here, too. Everything from fried shallots, yuzu mayo, Red Boat fish sauce, boba, matcha, shrimp chips, furikake, mochi & more.

Vegetarian options: Eight ate Asian slaw, shiitake wonton, vegetarian bao, etc.

Parking: There’s both private & public lots, along w/ free street parking.

Kid-friendliness: Great kid-friendly food options.

Wonderful place; the café & market offers Asian grocery staples, fresh produce from their huge aquaponic greenhouse, house-made sauces, sambals and kimchi, as well as grab and go snacks. The dessert se;ection was tempting. Some food was a little spicy - not too much. You can sit outside in better weather. The concept of aquaponic gardening was very interesting to me. Cafe and market very clean, staff was helpful and friendly.

Stopped here for take out during lunch on a Thursday and ordered several à la carte small dishes. The food was delicious, offering a modern interpretation of classic dim sum and similar items. These are not the familiar Cantonese small plates, but delicious in their own right. The steamed pork but was very good, with a tasty savory filling (not as sweet as char siu). The shu mai skewer was great with an extra kick of fresh ginger. The chive pancakes had a perfect balance between crispy and chewy. And the filling in the empanada was first rate. The meal was a nice value, and the service was friendly and fast. The stop here was well worth it. But make sure to get there early. I was there right at noon and they were already selling out of some dim sum items.

Coffee was cold and not good, boba only comes in a very small size with weak flavor. But the worst part is it’s impossible to drink boba with a soggy paper straw. Basically got like 3 sips of milk with a hint of flavor and no boba because the straw immediately disintegrated beyond use. Paper straw isnt helping anything the cup is fully plastic so why bother with a useless straw?

What a cool addition to downtown Brunswick! Their little market has a lot of interesting ingredients to try new recipes and fun snacks to test out. The inari was yummy and reasonably priced. I haven't seen a better selection of rice wines in the area. The staff was really helpful and accommodating. One staff member helped me down the stairs with my stroller!

Dietary restrictions: Plenty for dairy free guests.
