Camden used to LOVE bagel but ever since they moved it’s been an absolute disaster. They run out of bagels and let people stand in line for 30+ mins without telling anyone they are out. This has happened twice now. The bagels are hard and tasteless ever since they moved. The place is TINY and uninviting because it is so cramped with the line out the door. They want 60 extra cents for pickles that used to come on a lot of their sandwiches for free.
Like I said everyone used to love coming to bagel, the people are nice the food was good but who ever thought to move really destroyed the business.

Yummy food and great location downtown, but parking is difficult to find especially in peak season.

It’s almost impossible to find a decent bagel in Maine. These guys nail it!! And tbh why don’t skimp on the cream cheese. So glad they have a new location on Main st.

Today was my first time in! I was kindly greeted and rung up for a breakfast sandwich and hot coffee, which were priced fairly. The toasted onion bagel was fresh, aromatic, and soft…the southwestern is delicious, albeit a bit greasy for conscious dieters. The hot coffee was okay (Zoot’s the place to go), but Bagel Café’s specialty is in the name!

I've gone here every weekend for nearly two years. It's become physiological on my Maslow's hierarchy of needs. I've spent well over $200 over my time there and I don't regret a cent of it.

Fresh bagels made daily on site, generous cream cheese spread--what could be better? I had the bagel and lox, and my guy had the breakfast egg and sausage sandwich. We both chose sesame bagels, and we both had coffee. The place is lively and spacious, with counter folks who seemed to enjoy their jobs, and were friendly and quick to make our sandwiches, even though they were quite busy. All this, and dog-friendly too!

They were out of hummus when they visited but made me a veggie stuffed Tofutti cream cheese everything bagel. It was pretty empty and took a long time to make because they were backed up. Thankful for that option but they should offer vegan protein, too, like tofu or a vegan deli meat.

Bagels were crispy to the point of being rock hard and difficult to chew. The cream cheese was generously applied and tasty, coffee was just average. Service was slow and three of the four coffee dispensers were empty. I will not return.

Wonderful breakfast sandwiches - bagels.Front counter should not take phone orders when a customer is standing in front ready to order.
