Barren's Distillery + Restaurant

We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere at this restaurant bar. The staff was friendly, fun and attentive. The oysters were amazing, fresh from Isleboro. We even bought vodka and gin from their distillery to take home after sampling some of their cocktails. I highly recommend sitting at the bar for the amazing view of the harbor.

Wide choice of gin and tonic. I tried the pink, very good. We also tasted the lobster brusheta and lobster roll, all very good. Service however slow and not commercial.

The food was very good. We enjoyed our meal, but it didn't completely wow us, though. Reasonable prices and the drinks and cocktails were delicious. The view was amazing.

Be aware, if someone needs assistance walking, that it's a steep gavely hill and a short distance on the boardwalk down to the restaurant. You can drive down to drop someone off, but you can't park down there.

Excellent distillery making great booze for awesome drinks. Super cool environment with a fabulous view of Camden Harbor. Quite possibly the most charming town in Maine with a spectacular library.

As we were eating dinner, the former President was shot. The younger help was standing in a circle laughing and making fun of the situation. Nothing to laugh about very tacky.

Something is off…..Have eaten at this establishment multiple times always good. However, this visit I was very disappointed in the food not the service. Fish and Chips might have just as well been jerky in a bag both times. I did request a new meal and it took so long my family members were done - we had to go and it was
A lunch service- the replacement meal showed after the check. Secondly, the Lobster roll was $40 and we love our lobster rolls as a local and this is definitely priced to gouge the tourists. Plenty of better rolls lower priced at other so many other establishments. The location is fantastic and service is wonderful. It was much better last year.

I don't remember a place in my life where I paid money just for the view. This kids doesn’t have any idea about hospitality, This kids should focus on their own work instead of criticizing other customers in front of us.

Barren’s exceeded my expectations with their creative cocktails, especially the seasonal blueberry-infused drinks. The atmosphere by the water and the charming bar setup made for an unforgettable afternoon. Highly recommend!
