The biscuit was the closest to my mothers homemade biscuit. Will 1000% be back. Great food and awesome owner (georgia transplant). Kudos.

We ❤️ Buttermilk! Been many times for breakfast and lunch. Always amazing! Chef owned. Supreme service. Super tasty. A welcomed and celebrated addition to our community. And, they are open year-round! Tip: if you’re in the fence about ordering the Pickled Fried Green Tomatoes w/Alabama Sauce, do it!

The Buttermilk Kitchen has failed to disappoint! My wife and I have been several times over the past several months and we have enjoyed every visit. Every offering has a unique delicious spin! I highly recommend anything with their sausage gravy, pimento cheese grits or their amazing breakfast biscuit. Make sure to try their chai latte or cold brew if you don’t want to have take a nap after your awesome breakfast!

Wow! We popped in for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised! The decor is cute, staff are friendly and the food came out fast. Everything was great: hash, oatmeal, sausage gravy… but the biscuits are really special and that blueberry compote or whatever it is they make is Maine in a tiny dish! Definitely a tasty breakfast.

Excellent breakfast. We'll be back. We do miss the old Mariner's however.

Got in at about 1:30 (they close at 2). My husband we warmly greeted. He had biscuits, gravy & eggs, I got the fried haddock sandwich with potato salad. Local fresh ingredients. IT WAS AMAZING! Best ever. We weren't rushed, even though we were there after they flipped the sign to closed. Great portions (we skipped dinner). So good.

Great food! Biscuits were very good, this is a must if you go. I had the cheeseburger and fries, which hit the spot for lunch.

My family & I were able to go here for breakfast recently, it was a brief 15 minute wait before we were sat. The service was quick & friendly. The food came out fast as well! The buttermilk blueberry pancakes were a must try, you can taste the buttermilk in the batter so if you’re not a fan of the that flavor profile maybe try something else. Like the fried chicken with the pimento cheese dip which was also delicious. You also cannot go wrong with the French Toast or the Corn-beef Hash. All in all this is definitely a breakfast spot to check out.

Parking: This is right on Main Street so it’s fairly busy even during the AM. There is a mix of free & paid parking in the area so it would only be a brief walk to get back to the restaurant.
