Stopped by to get some food to take on the ferry out to Monhegan. Very disappointed. Pre made roast beef sandwich (deli was not open) one wilted leaf of iceberg lettuce, one small slice of tomato on regular sliced wheat bread. The only good thing was the horseradish sauce. Muffin was dry. Breakfast sandwich- would have been better off with an egg McMuffin. I understand the importance of shopping locally but, especially at the prices they charge I expect better. Won’t be returning.

I was looking forward to a steak and cheese sub for dinner tonight, but it was a total letdown. The steak was cut into dry, unappetizing chunks, and the roll was soaked through with a brown sauce, making it completely soggy. It's a shame because I've ordered this sub before and it was delicious. It's really frustrating when you decide to treat yourself and the food is so bad you can't even eat it.

I ordered catering from Megunticook Market for a celebration of life event held on a schooner in Camden harbor. They came through with flying colors! It was extremely easy to order on line and they were communicative whenever I had a question about the order. A variety of platters were delivered on time for our sail: sandwiches, cheese/fruit, crudités, and cookies. The food was enjoyed by our 15 guests and schooner crew. Thank you for making our event even more special.

OUTSTANDING! Fresh, locally sourced ingredients, generous portions and rave reviews from our wedding rehearsal dinner guests. The team at Megunticook Market was incredibly responsive, easy to work with and delivered a large order, on time, to North Haven, Maine. This meant not only preparing incredibly delicious food, but figuring out ferry logistics….food was delivered, as promised, right out our harbor view location. Just incredible. Thank you for making our gathering a complete success and stress free! A superb experience for hostess and guests.

So incredibly disappointed by this business that if I could give 0 stars, I would. My family and I stopped by at about noon to walk in and order and pay for 4 easy sandwiches to go. We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. Nearly 90 minutes later, no sandwiches to be seen. We had prepaid and they were unwilling to refund despite our requests for updates and having no sandwiches to show for it. Several of the workers were fooling around and socializing instead of making the simple sandwiches. After a 90 minute wait, the manager finally prompted the workers to start on the sandwiches. Several mistakes were made in the order, and the quality was quite poor. Would never give business again!

I bought a turkey and provolone sandwich today and it was an absolute disgrace. For $9.99 before tax, it had a blob of mustard in the middle of one slice of bread, with ONE tomato sliced in half.

Anyone who’s planned an event knows that things can sometimes go sideways. What matters most is how those moments are handled—and Megunticook Market & Catering handled ours with incredible professionalism and care.

When there was a mix-up with a catering order, the team immediately stepped up. They helped rework the order quickly, adjusted the pricing fairly, and even delivered everything directly to our event—on an extremely hot and humid day—at no extra charge. The food arrived on time, was well-packed, and everything went off without a hitch.

Their responsiveness, calm under pressure, and genuine commitment to getting it right made all the difference.

I’m not normally one to write a bad review but I just had the weirdest experience on the phone trying to order a wrap and a sandwich. I asked to get the veggie wrap and add chicken/feta and the man on the phone said he could add the chicken but not the feta. Confused why he couldn’t I asked so you can add the chicken but not the feta? And he said he wasn’t willing to “get all that out” (he started getting pissed at me) and that he wanted to promptly “finish up our order” because he had to put toppings on a pizza. Customer service has always been great here but the attitude towards me asking a simple question and being treated like an inconvenience for asking to add cheese to a wrap was extremely off putting.

Megunticook Market catered our event and we couldn't be more pleased with the process and the choices available. The quality of the food was top notch and having everything delivered made the day stress free and relaxed. Using Megunticook gave us more time to enjoy our friends and relatives and we highly recommend them.

**edit- I did receive a response from the store, and I appreciated hearing directly. I do want to add that although I had the experience I did, the food was still good enough I’d try it again and I have hopes it’ll be a much better experience. **

Fairly disappointed by my recent and first visit here, more so because I was looking forward to it. Ordered my sandwiches through their website online ordering feature. Time was selected for 20-25 minutes. Arrived in store, no one greeted about the order. Asked about it, and they hadn’t made them yet. Proceeded to then say they had no meatball. Okay. My number was given with the order. So it would have been nice to receive a call in advance to say “we’re sorry but we are currently out of meatballs is there something else you would like to select for this order.” Finally an option for a spare sandwich is selected. While they’re making them the employees are complaining about not having any time off and haven’t had a day off in over a month. They then hand me one sub, so I had to ask where my other two were. Absolutely ridiculous. Being as busy as this things maybe need to be delegated better. Or maybe some time off to refresh. Or cut off online orders if they can’t take on the orders online with people coming in and out.

This Sicilian woman loves pizza. Your pizza is delicious!!! Lots of toppings, great flavor and awesome crust. Friendly service and a wonderful experience. Could you maybe make me a cannoli? 😂
