Feel free to read the full review below, but If you’re terse, the scoop is that Winona’s is quaint, exceptionally unique in its excellence, and is a must stop.

While on a waitlist at a bustling nearby establishment, my wife and I decided to take a walk. Our goal: a quick snack and beverage while we wait for our spot at the bar.

A few steps away from our original plan, we walked past Winona’s, an unassuming but inviting front, and put our eyes on the menu posted in the window. It was compact, but refreshingly uncomplicated and clear. When our attention drifted from the menu through the glass into the interior, we caught the attention of an older couple who emphatically waved us in with thumbs up and smiles. How could we not stop in..

We were greeted with nothing short of exceptional hospitality, and found a spot at one of their limited tables by the windows. We mentioned we were just in for a quick drink and snack, and the response was nothing short of miraculous. We felt we received the same service and hospitality as if we were the most important guests of the night(which I assure you, we were not).

My wife and I were traveling from Montana, and I begrudgingly consider ourselves “foodies,” but we admittedly each know our way around a kitchen and bar. She got a glass of white, and I got a beet root beer, I think “Helleflower”. Great.

We ordered what I can only remember was titled “Scallop Crudo”. As i’m writing this review from memory a month after my visit. Which, if anything, should attest to how compelled I was to write this, and how great my experience was..

The dish was fresh. The scallops sliced thin, sitting in a perfect acidic Leche De Tigre, with sweet cut apple, tobiko, and bitter greens. I likely missed a few small details..My point is that our “snack” was rich, balanced, light, filling, refreshing, and unique. My only regret? Leaving this place for a nearby establishment.

I told the proprietors they should be proud of what they built and are putting out into the word. I meant it.

It seems that 6 stars is not possible, that’s a shame. This is a very special spot run by two passionate people that seem to be living their dream rather than running a business. We came for our anniversary, and couldn’t have been more pleased. The food left us speechless at times. Every dish was something we couldn’t get enough of, and will be a memory for a while. We went with the chef’s rec and got one of everything and it was perfect. Each dish was unique and memorable in its own way. I’d say trust the menu and get it all. But, above all was the feeling of being welcomed into Winona’s; it’s less common that you feel your hosts are just excited as you to make your experience something to remember. I don’t know how often you can go out to a restaurant and have a duo like Hannah and Devin curate something so special, in terms of both the food and hospitality, so take advantage. We will surely be coming back to Camden just for this.

One of THE BEST meals I've had since moving to Maine. The plates are the perfect size to share, they are SO sweet, and they're incredibly food-wise... Every dish flowed perfectly into the next one and were all SO delicious.

We did zero to no research about restaurants in Camden before a weekend getaway. We just walked in off the street, and this was like discovering a precious jewel. We barely looked at the menu and just asked to be fed. It was an amazing adventure and all aspects of our experience were absolutely delicious. An incredible culinary journey!

Artist couple with exceptional food service knowledge are doing something so cool at this place. Friendly and down to earth spot but also romantic and high quality. Seems like the owners really care about what they’re doing here. The food is delicious, creative and quickly served!

You're on google... looking for a place to grab dinner while in Camden, Maine and you happen to catch a glimpse at Winonas. Do yourself a favor and stop looking.

This dinner was phenomenal. A simple looking and short menu rapidly over delivers and dives into pure culinary delight.

We will come back here again. And again. And again.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Winona’s, and it could not have been more perfect! From the moment we arrived, Hannah and Devin made us feel celebrated and completely taken care of. They created a custom menu that was not only stunning to look at but absolutely delicious from start to finish.

Every dish felt thoughtful, seasonal, and beautifully balanced. The wine and beer selections were spot on and paired so well with the meal. The whole evening struck the perfect balance of elevated and welcoming, and we truly could not have asked for a better way to kick off our wedding weekend.

If you’re looking for a spot that goes above and beyond with food, drinks, and hospitality, Winona’s is it. They made our rehearsal dinner unforgettable, and we can’t recommend them enough! Thank you Devin and Hannah!

I woke up this morning feeling like I had been at a friend’s house for dinner last night. Hannah’s care and attention to our table, and just into our lives in general, spread beyond just the dinner. Devin made each dish with such creativity that each bite was its own experience! I took zero pictures because the lighting and mood did not need that interruption; it was all a feeling. Hannah perfectly paired the wine. The dashi broth was a highlight, along with the corn soup cradling the skewers. I can’t even talk about the fudge without my mouth remembering or considering calling this evening to see if they’ll allow a take out fudge order!!! So delicious we ordered it again. Thank you for a beautiful dinner.

Winona’s is a cozy 20-seat gem in the heart of Camden, Maine, with a charming bohemian-modern vibe. Owners Hannah Adams and chef Devin Dearden deliver a memorable slow-food experience with several courses meant to be savored. Hannah’s wine pairings are spot-on, and Devin’s dishes are pure artistry. Cooking in the main dining area, it’s like watching a brilliant artist live painting. His flavors are simple and complex at the same time- using the best local ingredients. Highlights: the halibut crudo with a cheery-lime Ponzu sauce with radishes and monkfish skewer with velvety garlicky corn purée. Dessert was a luscious square of decadent salty fudge. The seasonal menu changes every two weeks, and knowing they built Winona’s without investors makes it even more impressive. First visit, but definitely not the last.

We had such a lovely and fantastic meal at Winona’s. Quirky, personal and delightful. The perfectly bespoke menu removes the stress from ordering …. And offers such variety. The menu changes every three weeks, but I must shout out the monkfish with corn puree. The perfect combination of sweet, spicy and peppery …… and the monkfish was cooked to perfection. I could have eaten three of them. Hannah’s service is incredible and so worthy of shout out. She enhanced the incredible food.
