Closes at 7. 3 hours early on a Friday. Destroyed my chances of joining my family for a b day meal. Great business that closes at 1900 literally 3 hours early. Sigh.

Delicious food, clean restaurant, friendly service. Definitely worth a drive from Bangor.

This is not the same as it was. Food quality down, staff not as friendly as they should be, a bar mentality as opposed to the environment that spelled family. Since sold by the Day family this place has nosedived into not being sought by the families that supported it for decades. NOT

This NOT The Countryside we all know and love. Its filthy, overpriced and food is sub par.
This place has gone down hill. Ordered two ice creams. Had a Reese's overload which was basically vanilla ice cream with of few candy bits in it. Asked for some tap water and was charged three bucks. Not feeling happy about this place. The outside was filthy and needed cleaning. Trash everywhere.

"" Do not stop"" unless you have at least an hour to WAIT for your food and it is not because they are busy! We have been waiting an hour and still waiting for a taco pizza and a cheese burger.
Only two other tables with people and they said they had been waiting.
Countryside Restaurant use to be a nice restaurant, busy with good service and good food.

This is NOT the old Countryside that a wonderful salad bar, delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere.
Food it over fried, overpriced, and mediocre at best. The menu is very skimpy.
The resturant area has horrible lighting, very dingy. I was seated at a dirty table. Service was okay enough.
The new bar area was obviously made to entice the local drunks.
Don't waste your time or money here.

Unprofessional. Called in for takeout and was put on hold multiple times without being asked to hold. The waitress who did speak was rude and yelling at another staff member. I waited 5 minutes after the waitress just set the phone down without saying anything, then hung up without even being given the opportunity to order. If that's any indication of how they run the rest of the restaurant, I can assume the food is garbage as well. We are new to the area and wanted to give this place a shot, but they missed out on our business.

This place used to be great. Since the change in ownership, food quality has fallen to an extreme low. I understand why they are focusing on the bar, you have to be drunk to not notice how terrible this place is. What a shame. The only hope is a change in ownership again.

This is still a nice little country restaurant. Perhaps just due to my personal preferences, but it has lost its appeal since adding the bar and shrinking the dining area.
