AVOID this place!!! We were hungry so willing to eat but everything was awful. The crab cakes was all breadcrumbs and deep fried. No crab we could discern I had the baked haddock and scallops and the server recommended lobster sprinkled on top. It was bland tasteless with some stuffing sprinkled on top. No salt or any thing resembling flavor. Veggie in the side was corn, simply boiled; we ordered chopped potato fries. Even this was tasteless, rescued by ketchup. If it was possible to give a negative rating I would give it.

Tonight we ordered baked shrimp, fried shrimp and chicken tenders. Every was absolutely delicious. The girls working the counter were very polite. Thank you so much for a great supper.

Sadly, I am now editing my review, in just abut 6 years my review has gone from full stars and glowing to this.
Firstly, this place is FILTHY. Floors, bar area, even staff. They air inside was full flies. The bartender had no personality except not liking her job and made no attempt to care the limited amount of time she stayed behind the bar.
We watched her and the rest of the staff handle dirty dishes and waste then put their hands all over the food amd drink they were about to serve. Never once did they wash their hands. The bartender constantly wiped her dirty hands on the butt of her pants and then grabbed unwrapped straws and the tops of glasses and bottles.
The kicker was when a bottle of beer had been sitting on the bar open for more than 10 minutes. The bartender put it back in the walkin cooler to serve to the next person. Likely flat, definitely contaminated with having been touched (and remember those flies), and probably not that cold.
All the pour spouts were moved from empty bottles to full without even a rinse, and yes the bartender loaded the dirty dishes into the washer and bus bin first, didn't wash her hands, then put said dirty hands over every part of those pour spouts.
Bathroom had no toilet paper and all the staff did was tell you that there was no paper before you went in.
Somone is going to get seriously sick. New owners clearly don't care to preserve the icon that we have loved for generations.

The food was NOT like it used to be! Fried Scallops were very greasy and not brown at all.the salad was good, tartar sauce was NOT like it used to be either! Will not be back! The old owners did a fabulous job! Portions not like they used to be either! You can tell it’s not what it used to be by the cars in the parking lot. Used to be packed whenever you went. The waitresses are fabulous. They’ve always been!!! Such ashame! A Bloody Mary was 15.99, as far as I’m concerned that was a rip off!!!!

We went before 4 to get the lunch prices. The prices have gone up: lobster casserole was $35 and Scallops $31.; plates were smaller than dinner plates (I think) because we ate all our food. The homemade cole slaw is fantastic! All the food was excellent and service was great.

My chicken meal was good. Chicken seemed over cooked and a bit dry, but overall the chicken was tasty. It was the marinated chicken dinner marinated with bourbon sauce. My sister had the stuffed haddock and my wife had the stuffed haddock and shrimp meal. They tell me the meals were great. If you like mashed potatoes, you have to get the mashed potatoes here. They are mashed up red potatoes and they are really good. The atmosphere is okay at best. It got a bit too loud from the bar area. Lastly, it was pretty expensive. I have been to several high end restaurants that are around the same in pricing. I would not call Bay Haven high end.
Ordered the baked stuffed scallops. They were the worst looking I have ever seen. Buried under a brown stuffing that looked far from appealing. The stuffing overcame the taste of the scallops which were small to begin with. Had to have a drink to get the stuffing down as it stuck to my mouth. I wish I had taken a picture. I will not be going back.

make your lobster pie better it's terrible. no stuffing only 3 PC of lobster way to much cheese. there was no sauce i had to ask for it. we will NOT be back. terrible

Bayhaven has always been a reliable go to. We went this past weekend and something is definitely changed. Our food was bland and the prime rib was very tough and hard to eat. Sad to say we won't be back.
