Seriously. The staff are the best!!!
I stay here every time I come to Maine. It’s the way vacation should be.
Our anniversary stay at The Pilgrims Inn was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, every detail felt intentional and full of charm. The food was exceptional—beautifully prepared and bursting with local flavor—while our room struck that perfect balance between historic New England character and modern comfort. The service from the entire front-of-house team was outstanding; warm, attentive, and genuinely kind without ever feeling overbearing.
This inn truly is our hidden gem, a place that captures the exclusive sweetness of New England in a single day. It’s the kind of experience you carry with you long after you leave—quietly elegant, deeply comforting, and impossible not to fall in love with.
Amazing flavors! Monk fish was incredible, crab/ hand cut pasta dish was beloved! We would love to come back to dine on our next Deer Isle excursion!
What a wonderful dinner. Beautiful setting, great friendly folks and the food was excellent. Highly recommend
We had the loveliest stay at Pilgrim’s Inn, made all the more special by the warmth and care of its new caretakers, Andrew and Bosco. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed by the entire team, who embody a spirit of quiet hospitality that makes this place feel like a true retreat.
While the Dining Room and Tavern are open to all and certainly worth a visit, there’s something particularly magical about the breakfast experience—reserved just for guests of the Inn. Each morning felt like a gentle ritual.
Pilgrim’s Inn holds a rare charm—equal parts timeless and personal. We’ll absolutely return.
Our family had the most magical experience at Pilgrim's Inn for my daughter’s wedding dinner celebration. The family-style meal was held in the Inn’s Tavern room, which was a spacious but intimate setting for our group of 22. The room had so many charming features as a one-time family kitchen for the historic building, and it had a lovely view of the gardens out back. Everyone in our group could not stop raving about it… at least until the food started coming out. Then we raved even more! Words couldn’t do justice to the exquisite meal that Chef Cortney and her team prepared for us. It captured so many seasonal and local flavors, and the staff worked hard to accommodate our tastes and make sure those with food allergies had options that were equally delicious. Last but not least, the service was impeccable. The team of servers was efficient with all the different courses, and they very respectful of our privacy when toasts were being given. While we did not stay at Pilgrim’s Inn due to the somewhat last minute planning of our event and the size of our group, I spent enough time on the property over the following few days after our dinner to appreciate the beauty of the grounds, including the gardens and magnificent view over Mill Pond. I would highly recommend Pilgrim’s Inn for anyone looking for a venue for a wedding or any other event that will guarantee a memorable Maine experience.
What fantastic service by the staff! After a delayed flight and a flat tire on our rental car, we arrived hours later than expected. Andrew and his team went above and beyond—staying open late so we could enjoy dinner, then sticking around even longer to help us with our bags and chat about the amazing art work on the property. The food was amazing, and the property is absolutely incredible. Truly exceptional hospitality from start to finish!
the candle in the bathroom alone, makes me wanna curl up and die here! it’s everything you want your rocky coastal maine experience to smell like. on top of that, the new owners and staff additions have uplifted this inn to world class. we’re talking perfectly crispy chicken skin, a well crafted roasted oyster and every martini comes with a little sidecar to refresh at your table. run don’t walk!
We had a wonderful stay at the Pilgrim’s Inn. Steven is outstanding and can help with all your activities! Andrew & Bosco, the new owners, are wonderful and the food at the Tabern was incredible. Make sure & order the eel!!

A Charming and Unforgettable Stay!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this historic inn, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I arrived, I was captivated by the charm and character of the building—steeped in history yet lovingly maintained with thoughtful touches throughout.
Each room is uniquely designed, full of personality, and absolutely adorable. You can tell great care has gone into creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere that celebrates the inn’s heritage while still offering modern comfort. My room was no exception—beautifully decorated, sparkling clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. It felt like a home away from home, but better.
What truly made the stay outstanding, though, was the staff. Every person I encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure guests were comfortable and had everything they needed, offering helpful local tips and always greeting with a smile.
This inn is a hidden gem and the perfect blend of history, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. I can’t wait to return!
Old inn charm but it seemed lack of enough workers to keep up the place. You don't see any stuff around except when you are showed your room by the inn keeper. The whole atmosphere is stuffy and grim. The door was locked even at 2:50 for 3:00 checked in. It made guests felt uneasy waiting outside. The water serving station is dusty and unattractive. I hate to be picky but I have to say that the towels in the bathroom are so worn out and dirty looking.
