I absolutely love this place and it's owners Melinda and John. If you have the opportunity to visit this fantastic bar, do it, you'll never see anything like thos anywhere.
It you are in the Dennysville neighborhood, this is worth the drive. Seemingly in the middle of almost nowhere sits this charming old house that originally belonged to one of George Washington's generals. The house itself has a unique structure while maintaining a classic colonial theme. There is onr long room attached to the main house. i am unclear what the original purpose was, but the current owners have turned it into a bar/restaurant that even small children can go into. The food is light fare - hot dogs, baked beans, etc, Nothing fancy. Beer & wine are available, as well as wild blueberry soda. The decor is the big draw, in my opinion. The room is filled with antiques and knick-knacks designed to entertain. There is the prototype of the modern jukebox from 1910 with giant round metal plates with holes strategically placed that play a tune when they spin, for instance. Moving into the larger room, there is furniture hanging from the ceiling and one wall has a celestial -themed stain glass window installed that covers the entire wall. You can also stay there. I love Maine and all it has to offer, but if you are looking to something out of the ordinary, I recommend the Hansom House.
Went to the bathroom. Came out a man.
What an incredible place! Amazing decor, great drinks, and a super friendly atmosphere. I'll be back!
Fun - make sure to check hours if planning to stop by
No place like it!
This place was an unexpected treasure. At first we felt like we were walking into someone's home, had a bit of a "Hotel California" feel to me lol. Once we entered, WOW ! So much fun and the food was delicious. A must see!

Absurd, of you are in the area, this is a must visit place.

Definitely come for the experience of this bar transplanted from Southhampton, NY. The ceiling sculpture and large stained glass window are something to behold, but only part of the surprises in this very inviting enterprise. It's first come first served in seating, and that leads to meeting a lot of new friends. A young boy was doing magic tricks the nigh we visited, adding to the charm.. Beer and wine are served, as well as light dishes and delicious desserts, Friday and Saturday nights in Summer only.
Very interesting place. The menu is not a dinner menu...more a bar snack menu. Eat your meal before you go. Could expand their beer options to more local brews. It is worth going once to see the wild decor.
Such an interesting place. Can not wait to go back as I am sure I did not get to see everything there. It is a must see !!!!
If you ever get a chance to experience this bar you should. Words can’t adequately describe it. It is a feast for the eyes, ears, and palate. The most amazing part is the proprietor Jon. His unique idea to cater to the individual in order to provide the best experience is something special. His ability to narrate a story and his humbleness towards his artistic ability makes him one of the most genuine guys you may ever meet.
Maybe the most interesting place I've been to. Ever.
