Butterfield's Ice Cream

The maple walnut ice cream is so good! We’ve loved everything we’ve tried. Their ice beats store bought any day.

High quality ice cream with a great texture and lots of flavor options. Butterfield’s was delicious! I tried the daak chocolate, banana cream pie, and black raspberry. The chocolate was nice and chocolate-y. The banana cream pie had real banana and cookie pieces and didn’t taste like fake banana. None of the ice cream was overly sweet and it all tasted like it was made with high quality dairy.

Wheelchair accessibility: This location is wheelchair accessible. There are no stairs to the entrance and the parking lot is right in front of the building.

Loved this place as an ice cream lover. I went "old school" and got a grapenut/orange-pineapple combo that brought me back to my youth. Soooo creamy and delicious.

We loved it here!! Our ice cream was super creamy and full of flavor and the kids couldn’t get enough of their treats! Loved how they incorporated area attractions into their flavors. Ranks in my top 5 of ice cream shops.

Great place! Milkshake was on point

In all the years coming to Butterfields Ice cream, The atmosphere fit the landscape of the " Highlands of Maine "this beautiful land we call home ! Years of homemade ice cream and how down to earth it felt sitting outside and enjoying a homemade scoop ! We grew up with the front painting and beautiful clap board shingles that was really a warm welcoming! Prices were just right and local people working there ! In 2024 it had a disgusting and awkward remodeling job that really makes this Place looks like a walk in clinic! The color is a gross Grey color!! No more homeie feelings...The Ice cream now is way over priced and you get 3x less for the price of 3x more !! Wasn't worth the remodeling!! I as well as many others in our small town are disgusted by this look and how it lost its once awesome atmosphere and wonderful Ice cream ! The drive up to Monson and Greenville will now be worth it! If its not broken don't fix it ! We are completely sadden by this disgusting new look and over priced gross ice cream ? ? Such a great loss to our community ?

Friendly service and delicious homemade ice cream! Lots of flavors!

Had a late lunch of Lobstah Roll and treated ourselves to the Lava Cake and ice cream. The Toasted Coconut ice cream was too good! Glad we don't live near this place as it could become addictive. Very nice staff/super friendly and welcoming.
