I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Mill Cafe and Restaurant located in the historic mill, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The 3-course dinner was outstanding, offering a generous portion of delicious food at a very reasonable price.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a beautiful rustic tone that perfectly complemented the mill's historic charm. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were in for a treat.

The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who ensured that our glasses were always full and our plates were never empty.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent dining experience in a unique and historic setting. My partner and I have dinned in and around the area of Dover-Foxcroft , this had become our favorite place to haunt! We can't wait to go back… Next weekend!!!!

This cafe is such a gem in the D-F area. I love the chill atmosphere that is bright with a wonderful playlist. Cassidy is a great barista/server. The food is perfect for light fare and snacking while studying. I love coming to the Mill and always enjoy my mornings there.

Today we ventured to Dover-Foxcroft and had lunch at The Mill Cafe. Firstly, you walk in and the place is beautifully decorated. Second, you IMMEDIATELY become family. Everyone was smiling and happy as tables were chatting with other tables….it was great. The food was amazing, the chefs were walking the floor chatting with everyone…we left feeling like we just walked off the set of a movie. If you are in the area and haven’t been, you need to go. It set the tone for a wonderful day.

Overall this is a decent place. The atmosphere was wonderful. It’s placed right on a river. It’s has an industrial feel with a modern flare. The food was delicious but I do feel as though it’s a bit pricey for the area. The California grilled cheese was absolutely delicious. The service was great but it was also fairly dead. One big draw back is parking is very limited.

We only had a latte with a cinnamon roll which were good. But we loved the atmosphere. Being still around, we wanted to get lunch too but they were already closed.

poor service, kitchen brought out only 3/5s of our order. No one came back to check us. We had to go find our server and inform her of the bad service and incomplete meals. I would not recommend.

What’re you doing for breakfast while you’re in the area? The answer should be: going to The Mill Cafe. This place is awesome. Fresh food cooked to order, delicious lattes, and a really charming modern atmosphere with a rustic twist. I needed to find a place to get some work done, my girlfriend needed somewhere to warm up, and we both wanted a hearty breakfast. We made the right choice.

I wish I could share my photo of our lunch. Haddock sandwich with 8 onion rings for $18, smash burger with fries for $20 and a small broccoli and cheddar soup with no bread or crackers and 3 lemonades for $68. I ate with 2 eleven year old girls who saw the price at the register and their eyes went big. After I tipped, the total was $75 for a lunch that no one came and asked if we needed anything or how it was. The girls easily finished their meals because they were so small. I won't be coming back. This is Dover-Foxcroft! Let's be real with prices for food that's bought at Shaws or Sysco. I have no problem spending the money for fine dining, places like Blair Hill Inn, farm to table but not for a lunch that is mediocre. The environment is nice as we ate outside on the patio and the meal tasted good but not for $75. Ridiculous.

I'll give it another chance. It's very cute. But I paid 15 dollars for a burrito. That burrito was all rice. Some cheese in the rice. I'd say the massive burrito that looks like it's going to be great is 75% rice, 10% veg and cheese, 5% beans... maybe 10% meat. 15 bucks for a mouthful of ground beef and a tortilla full of rice? It also wasn't busy and took ages, though everyone was really nice. It's a cute idea if they were executing it better. There's new staff too, but the burrito was pretty laughable.

Went for breakfast. Ordered a flapjack breakfast with blueberries. It was a massive plate and very delicious. The bacon was thick and crispy, just like it should be. The breakfast burrito was also a huge portion. Wonderful view of the dam. We will be returning.
