I from Ohio I Came here like 10 to twelve years ago. I was moving someone in the town to Ohio. We randomly found this spot one night it was pretty cool got all the dollar bills you can nail to wherever everyone was pretty cool to us even though we werent from anywhere around there. For some reason I remember it being a big Packers bar could be wrong cool place though especially to just stumble upon.

Kristin and Kat were our two excellent waitresses. It is a local spot full of locals so, if you want the “flavor” of Eastport, this is it.
The menu has everything you could hope for…We’re still thinking about the seafood chowder, it was loaded with scallops, lobster, and shrimp and oh, so good that I almost ate my napkin that had been soaked with seafood chowder under the cup!
It’s a kick there and, i’m a Happy Crab!

The only good thing about this place was our server. It took almost an hour to get served after ordering. The (from a can tasting) clam Chowder was warm, not hot, one person's chicken sandwich was under cooked from its frozen state, fries were warm, not hot, Cole slaw was terrible, and burgers were cooked very well done, after being ordered cooked Medium.
Our server apologized several times stating the cook(s) were not trained enough. (This was a Saturday night).
Terrible experience. Would NOT recommend.

Tasty haddock chowder but we were disappointed with fish and chips. Mediocre decor and atmosphere but one of the only restaurants in town open on a Friday night in the Fall! Went to The Hooker restaurant next night and it was simple but good food!

Five of us had dinner and no one was thrilled with the meal. The haddock plate was the worst. The fish looked like a thin piece of jelly and was just as tough. The burger was ok but nothing to write home about. Drafty table with wind coming through a window that couldn’t close.

I really enjoyed going to The Happy Crab. We went 3 times, the food was delicious, not too expensive. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. This seems to be the local hangout. Happy Crab is a place you can go to, to relax, have a drink or a meal. Casual dress code. The locals are fun and like to have a good time. No matter who you are or where you are from. The waitresses were on their A game. Even though it was busy , They were right there making sure you were happy, had your food and drinks promptly, with a smile. If your in Eastport, The Happy Crab 🦀 is a must.

Staff is very slow. Food is average. Someone sent a burger back 3 times because it was raw I side and they kept taking the same burger my friend had take a bite out if and reheating it on the grill and sending it back to us. Very nasty!

Hubby liked the food but I found the haddock and scallops to be undercooked. Cooked just to the point of flaking, but still gummy/slimy and translucent. The weather was absolutely beautiful for sitting out on the deck and we were glad to be there during the slow season without it being crowded and busy.

Sat down and we started to place our order. I asked for a Dewars Scotch on the rocks. Waitress came back and said they don't have that. I asked if they had Johnnie Walker Black and she said they did. We enjoyed our dinner and asked for the check. The check charged me for Johnnie Walker Red at $22+ per drink. For three drinks this was rather pricey! I asked the waitress about the error and she stated that is all they had so that is what I got. I told her I didn't order red I ordered black. She smirked and said red is what you got and she walked away. So if you are landing in Eastport on a cruise ship or just cruising through, be aware as they don't seem to care what out of towers think.

This continues to be my favorite spot to get food in Eastport. It’s no-frills but the staff are attentive and the food is good. They have limited outdoor seating but I usually go to the bar. I got their fried haddock burger — it hit the spot. The fries were perfect (IMO) and the coleslaw was tasty too.

We ordered take out our first night in Eastport. I had the haddock chowder and my wife had the crab cake sandwich. Both were very good. We believe the crab is Jonah.
