Ive been friends with the McFarland Family since I was born practically ! Marion took care of me at Lamoine Baptist Church in 60’s so of course I would be one of Giant Subs 1st customers in late 70’s ! The food has always been Excellent - never had one bad item in over 45 years ! And some summers I ate there every day ! It has always been there - open every day but “ church day “ ! A fine Downeast landmark , hope it always will be open and serving “ Best Subs in Maine “ !

Love this place. It's been around a long time for a good reason. I needed gluten-free, and they could make any sandwich without the bread. Fries are also made in a dedicated fryer. I had steak, onion, and cheese, and it was grilled perfectly. Recommend the sweet sauce, too. The owner is well versed in celiac disease.
