Breakfast was so delicious and we can tell it was made with care. Great country and comfort vibe, too. Owner was very friendly and accommodating to our dog. The perfect spot before Acadia park.

We stopped off here to eat on the way down to Bar Harbor. The food was amazing! Prices were very reasonable as well. Highly recommend!

I need to preface this review by saying that my husband and I eat out often. Josie’s was by far the best restaurant we experienced on our trip to Maine. I had an amazing breakfast of blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon, and home fries with peppers and onions, along with fresh-squeezed orange juice and coffee. Everything was made to perfection.

After spending the afternoon shopping and walking around Bar Harbor, we couldn’t decide on a restaurant in the area for dinner—so we made our way back to Josie’s. Once again, we were blown away. The cocktails were fantastic, and the mussels were unlike anything we’ve had anywhere else—absolutely unforgettable. The fish tacos and truffle fries were fresh and flavorful, and everything came out hot.

The owner’s attention to detail, the quality of the food, and overall business sense are things more restaurants should aspire to. Josie’s is a gem!

The food was excellent.
They were accommodating when we needed to change our seating preference. The sun was too hot while waiting.
I did not like being charged $1.50 for wanting real maple syrup.
This seems odd to me. However. I wanted it so I paid.

Found this hidden gem while on vacation and were shocked how amazing everything was! From the food to the coffee and tea this place wont disappoint. Massive portions! Amazing breakfast and dinner. We stayed in Surry for 3 days and ate here everyday! My wife got a iced matcha latte everyday it was the best she has ever had!

Wonderful assortment of foods that is sure to hit whatever craving you have. We loved the soft shelled crab bao, fish tacos, coconut shrimp and brussel sprouts. Amazing desserts too! So happy we found this quaint local restaurant.

Nice little diner attached to the store.. had quesadillas-cheese and chicken plus a chicken salad sandwich.. all of them were delicious. Was rushed due to trying to make the train ride but was treated very well.

This is the most unique place you will visit. Country store with all of the daily supplies, imported food items, fresh grab and go sandwich and salads. The real gem is the dining room. With a menu pages long, there is surely an option for everyone. The food features unique flavor combinations! Please visit this “country store” for one of the best meals around at a fair price!
