Great find in Ellsworth. The restaurant had a fun Tex-mex feel to it and was very busy. We sat at the bar. The bartender Dara, was friendly and very efficient. She made us feel welcomed and accommodated all our requests, including extra salsa which was sweet and spicy! The food was served shortly after we ordered, hot and delicious and as described in the menu. The owner/manager was also there and it appeared he and all the staff were working together to keep things moving smoothly and tidy.

One of the few places that was open past 9 p.m. to serve us. They graciously seated six of us at 9:15 and sent out tasty hot food in a short amount of time. Highly recommend the Mexican Flag entree and a frozen raspberry margarita! Excellent service, too!

When we got there, we asked when they closed. We walked in 20 minutes before closing and said we would leave so she could start closing. The bartender told us to stay and even gave us chips and salsa. The margaritas were fantastic!

I ordered some fish and shrimp tacos. They look so sad. There was no fish in fish tacos. I got a fried dough instead of fish. Shrimp tacos were warmed up in microwave for sure. Don’t call that Mexican food.

I should’ve left when I tasted the salsa. It tasted like a jar of pickles onions mixed in tomato paste. A Mexican restaurant’s salsa is 100% representative of their ability to make sauces.
This was no exception. The salsa was bad, and the sauce on my burrito was also not that great.
The meat was delicious!! Too bad it was smothered in a sub-mediocre sauce.
On the plus side, the margarita was decent.
I would say it serves me right for eating Mexican in Maine, but I’ve had some really good Mexican food in Maine… just not here.

Really nice atmosphere in the restaurant, though. If they could just get someone who actually cares about the sauces, it would be a great place!

Waitress was great.

Food. Hmm.. skinny marg felt authentic… triple sec, lime, tequila agave. Yes please the original marg why out anything else in it. Pico should have maybe garlic powder instead of the real thing. Very garlic forward. Does the regular salsa have cumin? Let’s clean this up Seemed very kid friendly. I hate kids but you let my doggie on the front porch so I’m so appreciative and why I’m leaving 5 stars knowing also this review will be read only by the owner and barrier down not effecting but hopefully approving things. Maybe consider some outdoor speakers to drown out these damn kids, music? I would call the fajitas blackened chicken fajitas… interesting choice. If you need me to remove this review and it’s not helping let me know I would never want to hurt a business. Lots of love and good luck Maine taco scene

Atmosphere is nice, service wasn't great, but our waitress got over-sat, but the real problem was the margs. My wife and I ordered frozen margaritas as it is hot outside, and they just tossed an on-the-rocks marg in a blender. It was a very expensive, watered-down limeade.

Got sat and waited 15 minutes before waitress greeted and asked for drinks. Waited another 5 minutes.......no drinks yet, so I left. Would understand a bit if they were busy.
