We popped into Martha's diner on our way to bar harbor. Picked up a couple of breakfast sandwiches. They were prepared quickly. The owner was very friendly. And the sandwiches were very tasty and satisfying. Highly recommend the place. We would have stopped in on our way back through but they are closed on Mondays.

Amazing breakfast in Ellsworth, just what I need to kick into high gear for my Acadia National Park adventures. Staff were friendly, atmosphere was oldschool diner vibes (obviously haha), and the food was amazing. French toast, side of sausage, and orange juice. Perfect!

The corned beef hash had me day dreaming of my dear mother hand cranking a meat grinder in Winslow 70 years ago.
It was so good. My wife had eggs, potatoes and toast. She loved it.
Servers were serving a full house from opening to closing and maintained friendly banter and
good service.
The atmosphere was small town Diner and very welcoming.
Prices were reasonable.

So as reviews go, going to be honest. The food was so good. Best meal we had during the 2 week trip. The place looks like a hole in the wall but those are often the best especially if locals super love it. Service was good, just slow but they are short staffed like so many businesses currently. But it was so worth the wait for the yummy food. We cleaned our plates and left super happy.

I will say the bathroom left something to be desired. Do bring cash as they don't take credit. And check their times as it is a breakfast spot and closes at 1. And honestly most of the bad reviews seem to be about people showing their privilege and not knowing how to be patient.

Kid-friendliness: Had a toddler with us and they were very good with her. But no kids menu or kids cups. But the pancake was huge and my daughter loved it.

Had the brewer omelet with crispy bacon. Coffee is a bit strong but delicious. The omelet was amazing, you need to try it! 10/10 I'd come by again.
