They are removing the self-service soda machines because the local homeless have been stealing drinks.
Sure it inconveniences everyone, and deprives a vulnerable population of a source of nutrition and water, but think of the pennies they will save once they are done paying off the renovations!

Just your typical regular McDonald’s. Sometimes we do takeout and sometimes we eat in when they are busy. The takeout line could take a little bit as usual. The employees are usually super friendly. The bathrooms are usually clean too if you’re driving to Bar Harbor and need some food for the little ones come get your chicken nuggets here there is not another McDonald’s on the way to Mount Desert Island.

They literally have scalding hot water only in their restrooms which they refuse to correct. This will be a guaranteed future lawsuit due to laziness and stupidity.
Next up—the worst management ever. Whomever is managing this location should be immediately replaced. It will take a MINIMUM of 20-30 minutes to receive your food regardless of which method you order it.
This location is absolute bottom-of-the-barrel trash but it’s allowed to continue this way because it’s the only location for miles and miles.
Literally go anywhere else.

McD burgers are so much tastier in US than in UK! Sadly we ordered 2 lots of fries and only 1 was put in the bag to go. Our fault... should have checked!

My family and I stopped in here almost every day last week to get drinks while we were traveling through the area on vacation. One day we had a slightly big order and the line was backed up in the drive-through so we parked and had it brought out to us. I really didn’t have any high expectations of getting it quickly, but the team put our order together in about five minutes and everything was correct. We were impressed. A few times there was someone at the drive-through that didn’t really seem what they were doing, but bottom line we always got our ordercorrect and never really had to wait. They may not be the best team, but I think they work hard and they should be commended.

I know McDonald's isn't the most quality driven restaurant, but come onnn. The last few times I've gone they have repeatedly forgotten to put items in the bag or given us incorrect food and I usually just accept it. But I went this morning for my favorite hangover breakfast (a sausage and cheese McMuffin with a hash brown on it) and they gave me a mcgriddle. I know this seems small, but my hangover doesn't consider it a small inconvenience 😕 anyways. This McDonald's could be good if they paid attention and quit screwing around in the kitchen like I normally see when I choose to use the lobby. But it takes forever to be served inside so I avoid the dining room personally. It seems like it's usually a ghost town in there. Anyways, that's my piece. Do what you will with that info.

The workers laughed at me and my friend in the drive through at the window. I got a Oreo McFlurry REGULAR SIZE. Beats barely gave me any ice cream. It had half full or less than half and had a hole in the middle of the ice cream so there was only a little around the interior like a donut but thinner like Nicki Minaj. I’m extremely upset, my mid night sugar cravings were not satisfied. I wanted all 10/10 of the sweat treat, did I get it? No‼️ I got 3/10 of the sweat treat. How is my big back supposed to survive the night.
Our order was out fast and made fresh and everything was accurate. I've never seen a mcdonalds sell a lobster roll combo!

Fries are often cold, large fries are usually half full. You male employees like to talk to in a condescending tone and tell you to use the drive through correctly when the cones when you can just drive up to the speaker and order (not cutting anyone) Over all this place is a dump. There's one good employee that usually runs the window and he is a middle aged male thats about the only chance you have at getting your food correct.

Bathrooms were disgusting having urine on the walls, floors, toilet seats, baby changing station, and then some.... Very unclean and not a place I suggest ANYONE uses a toilet!! Place should get a fine for the way they arent clean. This is the location in Ellsworth Maine.

Very friendly staff and helpful. The store was clean and our fries were hot and fresh. Our cheese burger was fresh and hot. The manager is super attentive. I really enjoyed our experience at this McDonald's. Thank you, ❤️
