I don’t really eat here but my daughter likes it. Needs better marketing bc I never know it was there.

I went here a few days ago, and my fiance smelled something bad from the food, like something had gone bad. She politely asked for the food to be taken back (the smell was that strong) but then the waitress told us "It's hard being vegetarian, you should just cook at home". It was so rude that I didn't believe she actually said that until the table next to us expressed their shock too. Not only that, but the cook came out and basically yelled at us, saying that she wouldn't make it again. I would stay away from this restaurant, they're weird and rude. Also, looking at the other reviews, you can see they frequently call customers liars - the responses are worth reading if you want a laugh.

“It’s hard being a vegetarian these days. You should eat at home.”

My food came smelling spoiled/like meat. I am vegan. I told the server nicely and asked for the food to be taken away. The quote above is what the server said as she was walking away. Then the cook came out raising her voice that she would not remake it. I never asked for it to be remade and did not want it. This behavior from the server/cook caught the attention of the table next to us and they were just as appalled. Worst experience with the most unfriendly staff. There’s a professional way to handle situations and they have yet to learn that. I would NOT recommend.

I’ve been coming here since they opened and like the food. However, I had an awful experience today. We came in and was told there was no server(but we were seated anyways). The women who waited on us didn’t pay attention when we were ordering and misread one of us getting the lunch special(it comes with two apps) and instead gave us two full app orders of what was supposed to be included. We assumed that since we both ordered the same app with the special that she had just combined them, so we ate it.

When we questioned her about it she immediately got super defensive and told me I didn’t order the lunch specail(I clearly picked my entree and pointed to the apps included in the special). The fact that she didn’t pay attention to what I ordered isn’t my fault. She was incredibly unfriendly from that point forward. When the bill came she didn’t adjust it what so ever, and barked “it’s fine you don’t pay I pay out of my own pocket”. Incredibly disappointed as I have been coming here for a long time.

I get that she normally wasn’t a server, but being server for 10+ years myself, you need to recognize when an error has been made on your end and rectify it. It’s not up to the customer to clarify when they are clearly on the special page pointing to their choices, it’s yours as the server. Moral of the story being, if you don’t have a server and you insist on just doing it yourself rather than just saying you are take out only, it is not the customers fault when you mess up their order. I was with my very young daughter and the whole interaction came off as quite hostile and the error was not on our end.

There was no apology offered or the realization that an error occurred on their end, just a very unfriendly disposition. Will just be sticking to take out here from now on, if we do decide to eat here again that is.

Based on the responses on other reviews from the owners regarding poor customer service, i don’t expect I’ll get an apology here either. Guess we will see!

UPDATE AFTER OWNERS RESPONSE: The owners response to this review is EXACTLY what I expected. They are incapable of taking any responsibility for their mistakes and instead lash out at their customers and make outlandish accusations. Good luck surviving in this business conducting yourselves in such an unprofessional manner.

For the record, my father did pay, for the food we ORDERED. I already explained in my review why we ate what were given, further proof that these owners don’t listen. Not listening is what landed us in this pickle in the first place! There was no customer behind us, so that’s just a complete lie. Interesting my father never got a call from said police, oh right, that’s cause we paid for what we ordered. But keep coming at your customers for complaining about your terrible customer service, you are building quite the reputation around here. XOXO.

Multiple people have commented on the unpleasantness of the owner. Stick to take out, if you want to support people who treat their customers this way that is.

I'm not going to rate the Food or Atmosphere because they were ruined by the very rude server. Wow! Bad service is one thing. Rude is something else. Wow! She was rude from start to finish. It was uncomfortable. It was like the server was serving a sentence. I was there with two of my friends. We sat down and after she came back to bring us water my friend asked for a cup of hot water. Without hesitation and being very rude, she replied "we have no hot water, only tea". That's fine but you don't have to be so rude. It was so bad, I thought I was in the middle of the Soup Nazi episode on Seinfeld. I can only guess that the server was also the owner or family. They wouldn't actually pay someone that rude to work the floor. My bad for not walking out. Lesson learned.

The food is delicious! We have dined in and ordered take out multiple times. I like dining in for the fresh crispy fried food, but the service is very slow and not attentive. I do love the atmosphere and it is family friendly with cars that hold crayons which kept my two year olds attention!

We will be back for both dine in and take out!

WOW. I am in shock at how we were treated here. I had never been and was excited to go and try the food. I guess I should have known when we pulled up at 1 pm on Friday to an empty parking lot. I had not read or looked at reviews but was always aware of this restaurant since I live in Ellsworth. I just read another person's review and I'm going to quote what she said--it was EXACTLY how she made us feel as well. "The waitress was angry throughout and never gave a proper greeting, a smile, or even a goodbye. It felt like we owed her a debt to be served."

She seemed angry that we were even there, walking off in a huff anytime she came to the table, throwing the food down improperly and not asking or apparently caring if we were happy with our meals. My two friends loved their curries, hence the two stars; my eggplant entree was saturated in so much oil that I could only eat part of it, despite trying to pour off the oily brown sauce. Forget trying to tell the waitress this--she likely would have screamed at us or kicked us out or just not cared. I'm a waitress myself; at our restaurant if we treated people like this, we would get fired with no question, I'm sure of it. Everyone has a bad day now and then but judging from what others said--she lives in a state of perpetual grumpiness.

Let me not forget that I asked for a mug of hot water because the restaurant was freezing--she informed us that was NOT possible unless we ordered hot tea. "We do not have hot water". What? I have never in my life heard anything so absurd. I would say that I'd go back and just get takeout to try something different and support a local business, but I don't plan on visiting again, ever. I'm quite surprised that it has as many positive reviews as it does. Sometimes I read nasty reviews and think they are likely unfair or undeserved; in this case, I completely feel what people are saying with the negative reviews. What a shame.

The food was wonderful! The Curry is very spicy but delicious. When we told the owner it was too spicy, there was more unpleasantness, as she was also our waitress and very poor at that.
But great for take out or if you are not bothered by loud unpleasant interchanges 🙃

Only been here twice, but both times were great! The food is awesome and the service is great! Group of 6 of us came for lunch today. The beef satay appetizer and scallion pancake were great. I had the Larb, which is my go to at most Thai places, and it was amazing. Don't underestimate the heat though! We were all sweating, but we went for the maximum heat level. Remember: if it's not hot enough, you can always add more heat to it, so don't go wild if you can't handle the heat!

My drunken noodles were AMAZING! And the sweet waiter was so kind to us and our very vocal toddlers. We also ordered masaman and yellow curry - both delicious with perfect spiciness. Will be back soon!

Usually good but this time I ordered drunken noodles with NO spice and it’s extremely spicy. No reason for that. Even says on the bag that I said zero spice. It was also full of onions and the menu doesn’t mention onions. I had to pick them all out. Not their usual up to par.

I’ll edit my review because I didn’t notice it said onions. So my bad. But I also didn’t know asking for a dish with zero spice meant there would be spice. I would have gotten the pad see ew but I like green beans. The reason you don’t see my name is because my family ordered take out. Not me. That’s also why I didn’t call to complain. I was very taken aback by how spicy it was. I would change my review or even delete it if you hadn’t literally just flipped out on me. That do be crazy.
