The best Mexican I’ve had in Maine! Every dish had so much flavor and felt unique—way better than the boxed food at the Margaritas chain. The jalapeño margarita was delicious, with a homemade mix. Service was fast and ambiance was thoughtful and pleasant. We will be making this our one-and-only Mexican food place, even though it’s 30 minutes from our house!

We had high hopes for Fuego, but our first concerns arose when we saw that birria tacos come with tomatillo salsa instead of birria consomme. The two chicken chimichangas we ordered were, inexplicably, shaped like beggars' purses and filled with the driest carne asada I've seen in a while. And I don't know why mashed potatoes are a side option, but my son wanted them and they were inedible.
My grilled fish bowl was delicious, but the slow service and kitchen errors couldn't be overlooked. Sadly we won't be back.

This place is the real deal. We dined around 7PM on Sunday 6/22/2025. We ordered ranchero wings, guacamole, birria enchilada, a burrito, and a quesadilla. Also had the dessert trio. Everything was so delicious! The portions were great. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was good too. Very authentic. This would be a great place to go with a bunch of people. They have plenty of space. This will be our new go-to for Mexican in the greater Portland area. Can’t wait to go back!

Very good food. Friendly staff and it feels and tastes authentic. Agree service isn't always the fastest, but enjoy the free chips and salsa and whoever it is you are dining with.
